Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I think we are much better than Sienna talent wise but I think the team still suffers from WHOA-IS-ME syndrome. I think they had their heart set on making a seriuos Final 4 run and they know they can't really do that.

I know I feel the same way. The tourney is still exciting but I am not as excited now as I was before Robbie went down.

Katz says......
The NCAA tournament selection committee clearly felt Purdue isn't the same team without Robbie Hummel. UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero, the chair of the selection committee, made that clear in discussing why Purdue dropped to a No. 4 seed after a crushing loss to Minnesota in the Big Ten semifinals. This tournament will be one of Matt Painter's toughest tests as a coach. The onus is on the Boilermakers to perform well against the popular upset pick, No. 13 Siena. Despite being beat-up and bruised, the Boilermakers are a proud bunch. After everything that has transpired, a first-round win still would be a feat to celebrate.

4 guys average double figures. Rossiter, the big guy, averages a double double, shoots 57%. Franklin was the player of the year in the MAAC, shoots 56%. Moore averages almost 8 assists per game. The competition is weaker, but these guys aren't bums. Other than JJ and Moore, our personnel can't be considered much better at all.

If we win, the difference will be defense. Teams outside the BT don't play against the in your face man to man. If we don't get called for too much ticky tack shit......and we bring the defensive intensity.......then it will come down to whether we can score.

I have resigned myself to feeling like this team is crap with out Hummel. I've got Purdue losing to Siena in my bracket picks... This way, I'll be pleased with a win.
