The guy picked last in gym class

whatifsports.com allows you to sim matchups...they now have the 2009-10 season in. In order to sim it so that Hummel won't play for Purdue, you do need to set the depth chart so that the first three spots are filled in each position, even if the third guy is listed as 0 minutes. My first sim of Siena/Purdue on a neutral court had Siena winning 61-58. For Purdue: Johnson 35 minues, 7 of 13, 6 of 6 from the line, 20 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks. Kramer 35 minutes, 1 of 5, 1 of 2 from line, 3 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, 3 steals. Moore 32 minutes 3 of 15, 0 of 5 from 3, 5 of 6 from line, 11 ponts, 3 rebounds, 4 assists Grant 28 minutes, 2 of 7, 6 points, 5 rebounds Jackson 20 minutes 2 of 2 from field, 9 rebounds (yep, 9), 3 assists, 5 points Barlow 20 minutes 2 of 5 from ield, 4 points, 4 rebounds Hart 19 minutes 2 of 4 (all from 3), 7 points Byrd 6 minutes, one missed shot. Bade 5 minutes, 2-2 from line, no other stats. Second sim saw Purdue win 71-68. Johnson 35 minutes, 8 of 16, 12 rebounds, 19 points Kramer 34 minutes 0 of 1, 3 points, 6 rebounds Moore 32 minutes 6 of 14, 17 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists Grant 28 minutes 6 of 11, 17 points, 3 rebounds Hart 20 minutes, 3 of 6, 8 points, 4 rebounds Barlow 20 minutes, 3 of 6, 6 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists LewJack 20 minutes, 0 of 2, 1 point, 1 rebound, 5 assists Byrd 6 minutes, one missed shot, 1 rebound Bade 5 minutes, 1 rebound Edited by brumdog44, Mar 14 2010, 11:34 PM.

Well that is comforting... Getting hated on by the media and sports simulations... Stupid injuries... being a Purdue fan is as bad as being a Cubs fan. Oh well, hopefully we come out pissed about everything (the way we've been playing/media hate) and just throw Siena to the curb. |

We did just that against Baylor a couple years ago. We were supposed to get run out of the gym and ended up stomping them, hanging over 90 points on them that game. We should beat Siena. This team has won at Minnesota, at Penn State, and against Northwestern without Hummel. I realize how bad the last game was, but we've also gotten some W's too. I still think this team gets to the Sweet 16. |

FWIW, I did a handful of Purdue 09 vs Purdue 08 sims. Purdue 09 consistently won by 10+. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Kind of sarcastic. I did run about 5 sims, and 09 Purdue won by double digits I believe 3 of out 5 times, and two of them were by 20+. |

Yes, because when I made those statements, I said with a healthy Hummel. Last year's team at the end of the year was way better than the team when those guys were freshmen. |

Purdue sucks. Hummel is gay. Kramer rode a dinosaur to get an abortion. Purdue 08 is 10 points worse than Purdue 09. |
