Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Maybe someone should put up a poll about how many times Ryne Smith pump-fakes in a game. My god, that kid wears me out with that shit..........at least he actually hit a 3 today for once.

Sorry, that kid just annoys me sometimes

Was listening to the game on radio and the Purdue announcers said that the first three he hit was his first since January 5th. Pretty shocking.

Eat shit talking heads.
Especially Digger. That golden ass clown had the Domers getting to the S16, and went out of his way to explain why Siena was going to win.

Woot woot with the Wisky win! Well, at least they shouldn't be able to screw up this up.

Cam, you really have Purdue losing in the round of 32?
I do. In all my brackets.

I agree with dc. One and done.

It's Ok. Longest 1st round streak going is now at 12.

You and Cam should be ashamed of yourselves! Maybe next time you'll have a little faith in your team. To be fair, I think losing Hummel and the disappointment afterward didn't allow you to look at your team objectively. Still though. Shame!

We were looking at it objectively. We were pathetic in both first halves in tourney, and in the B10 games before. This team is playing beyond its parts, which is a credit to the coaching staff and the toughness of our roster. I'm seriously at a loss for words to describe it, so I'm just going to enjoy.

DJ Byrd scored 2 points (yes, 2 whole points) in the B10 season, and came up with 10 huge points tonight. That's something you can't expect. I'm happy it happened, but its crazy that it happened at a time like this. Ryne Smith hit his 1st 3 pointers since Jan 5 (also the only game that Byrd scored in B10 play). Both players scored more in the 2 tournament games, than they did in the 18 game B10 season.

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I'll be happy to take my lumps.

And I agree with dc again. Objectively, this team did not have the personnel to do what it did this weekend......at least the parts had not shown they were capable of playing this well. As much as I believed in Painter as a great tournament coach, I didn't think he could turn water into wine. He did. He has a knack for getting undersized and under manned teams to play above themselves. Lots of examples, including Florida a few years back.

Believing is one thing, fantasy is another. There are Boiler fans talking about the FF. Are they being objective ?

I like the blue tounge. Must be from the vitaminwater, but I like to think it is because he plans on ripping the heart out of the Duke mascot and snacking on it between halves.

And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

Purdue without Hummel can't beat a team ranked somewhere around #25 in the country?

Objectively, this is a team that has been tourney tested and knows what to expect and what to do in big time situations. A&M is also tourney tested, but this Purdue team has worked for the last 3 years to be good in the tournament. I understand if you guys didn't think they would win, but this crazy notion that they had no business being in that game, let alone winning it, is nuts.

Dreach, I think the negative attitudes were mainly due to the extreme disappointment of seeing a likely Final Four run ruined by Rob's blown knee. It would be very ironic if this team still finds a way to get to Indy. It's still unlikely at this point, IMO, but it will be fun to see what this team can do next weekend.

Getting by Duke and a probably matchup with Baylor in Houston would definitly be unlikely, but at this point I think anything can happen with this team. They don't want to lose, and we haven't seen a peak performance yet (mainly because of Moore sucking it up right now). If Byrd and Kramer keep playing like they have been and Johnson and Moore can both have a solid performance in the same game, we can beat Duke. Hell, even Bade was a productive contributer yesterday! I've got no expectation for this team, so I'm just enjoying every second of the ride. But I really don't want the ride to end either! Duke isn't invincible, we can come out on top in this one.

Bade played solid D the minutes he was in. At times he looked tougher for Davis to push around them JJ was (not saying Bade is better, just that he had some nice moments). It was also nice to see Smith actually take a 3pt shot instead of a pump fake.
