Haven't read the rest of this thread because I had to go to work right at halftime, but this is all that needs to be said. This team without Hummel is very mediocre, but Painter's instilled his will on this team. I don't know what's in store for Purdue's future, but there aren't many coaches I'd want besides Painter. He's got the makings of a big time coach. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Not Turgeon. (By the way, including their time in the MVC, Painter is 3-0 against Turgeon). And I know I'm butchering his name. They had a big guy on him, so it was probably the best matchup we had. Nonetheless, crazy finish. I still don't know why college players use their right hand on the left side of the rim, but I'll take it. |

I hope your friend realizes that more than anything, Johnson got exposed in this game. And Moore has been pathetic since Hummel got hurt. I've tried to convince myself that our 2010 class will make us better, but I'm not sure we'll ever replace Kramer. He's an absolute stud, especially when his offense is going. |

2nd. I said months ago that he was ready for a breakout, I expected it earlier, but I liked what I saw from him. His adjustment to college has been tougher than most because in HS he had the ball in his hands 99% of the time. Now, he has to make things happen with the ball in his hands like 5% of the time. I know we're still alive, but I'm super excited about a lineup next year of Jackson, Moore, Byrd, Hummel, Johnson. |

FUCK YEAHHH! Don't really have anything to say that hasn't already been said...so I'll just say it's absolutely wonderful to see Kramer, Smith, and Byrd bringing some offense to the table after it seemed completely hopeless after the B10 Tourney. And, on a side note, both teams we beat in last year's tourney are also in the Sweet 16 now. |

Rough game for Lewis, although he continues to rebound very well from the PG spot and plays very good on the ball defense despite being less than 100%. I can take a bad game from him when he has games like the previous where he pretty much took over the game and was a dominant player. If he can be healthy most of next year, I'm really expecting big things from him. |
