Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

No dont get me wrong, she's fucking gorgeous. I just sort of feel describing someone as "hot" has a slutty connotation to it. She has this down home charm to her. Just like I think my girl is fucking beautiful, but I would never use the word "hot" when talking about her. Just my own weird thing.
I get where you're coming from. She definitely doesn't have the slutty thing going. But being from the county, that "down home look" is a huge plus to me. I could see where others may view that as boring, but I think it's awesome.

There's that side to me that I get that too. Most girls I see around campus may have smokin' bodies and have pretty faces, but as soon as I see too much makeup, that they've tanned too much, the stupid black tights and ugg boots, etc., I'm done. I don't find those girls attractive for a second. Part of what I love about my girl, and the appeal of someone like Taylor Swift.

Yeah I agree, you don't have to have DDs and dress like a whore to get my attention. I'd rather go after a girl that does there own thing and doesn't feel the need to follow the crowd to stand out. Not saying the other way wouldn't be a good thing for a one nighter, but for anything serious, I'll pass on the fake shit.

I want the hour of my life back that I've had to read about Taylor Swift.

She's untalented and boring. End of story.

Looks have zip to do with singing.

Janis Joplin >>>>>>>>> Taylor Swift.

You complain about having to read about it and then you comment on it...interesting to say the least.

Go back to your jerk fest of that figure skater if you don't like the talk here about Taylor ;)

BTW it's funny that an untalented and boring person could be the most popular musician on the face of the earth shattering all sorts of records.

But don't let your personal bias get in the way of your argument....that's also interesting given the amount of stats that you use. I guarantee some of hers would put that argument to utter and complete shame.

At the end of 2009, the Associated Press named Swift "Entertainer of the Year".[70] "Fearless" was the best-selling album of 2009 in the US with more than 3.2 millions copies sold in that year. Swift claimed both the #1 and #2 positions atop Nielsen's BDS Top 10 Most Played Songs chart (all genres), with "You Belong With Me" and "Love Story," respectively. She also topped the all format 2009 Top 10 Artist Airplay chart with over 1.29 million song detections, and the Top 10 Artist Internet Streams chart with more than 46 million song plays.

I could go on, that was just one paragraph of the article for 2009.

I don't give a fuck what people listen to in Turkey.

Trying to downplay her success will be an epic, EPIC failure.

Milli Vanilli's 1989 Girl You Know it's True sold over 6,000,000 albums and had 3 #1 hits, a #2, and a #4. They received a grammy for best new artist.

Is that a really a road you want to go down?

She's not exactly a one hit wonder so absolutely. I can't envision a scenario where she's not killing it a few years from now.

You don't like her, I get it, that's cool. But don't act like she's not wildly popular and a lasting figure in the music industry. Like her or not, she has a very unique talent that she's brought to music and to say otherwise would be an injustice to her....give credit where credit is due.
