Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

there's no such thing as a butler bandwaggoner. they have a bigger fanbase than every IN college. the hype about their tourney run was no different than the hype they've had all season. what was i thinking...

br
So, in your mind, being nationally ranked all season and having like 4 losses, was no hype? Many analyst stated that they were legit all season long. What were you watching all season?
No, actually. Every analyst railed them in November and December when they lost most of their marquee matchups and went into 2010 at 9-4. But that's okay, no one expects you to know what you're talking about anyways.
Really? EVERYONE thought they were a fluke?

No, the true fans thought they were good. The bandwagon fans didn't show up until the Sweet 16...........then even more showed up in the final four.

I never said anything about "everyone". I'm sure their fans stood behind the team through the early losses. What I commented on was what the analysts were saying, which is the group you said:

That's bullshit. Find me an analyst that was still proclaiming Butler as a contender on Jan 1, 2010. Here's the best collection of analysts I can find in the 2 minutes this holds my attention span for. The best you're getting is 22nd in the country out of 10 voters. Not what I would call "legit". Now resume being an idiot.

Probably because of my love affair with you. Or I clicked the quote button on the last post when I got to the end of thread.

Your pick.

I still fail to see how people rooting for a "cinderella team" (in your eyes) makes everyone a bandwagon fan. How many people don"t root for david over goliath when it really comes down to it? Seems to reason it would be mostly goliath fans, right?

Why is this argument still going on?
Because it is offseason, Nascar is boring, and they do not play defense in the NBA.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

Good call. I almost forgot about those. And the fact that elite coaches do NOT allow assistants to call plays during timeouts. That one is important also and may play a part in this.

We must not forget the negative effect the transitive property has had on college bball in the last 3 years.
