Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

iucoltfan, are you trying to say that the majority of the people celebrating butler's success were butler fans before this season? that's crazy.

This final four was the epitome of Indy bandwagon fandom. Butler has trouble selling out their own home games....yet, all of a sudden, the entire town are mega-fans.

Butler will soon return to mediocrity and everyone will forget about them. count on it.

what a jump in attendance in the mid 90s. what happened?

bandwagon maybe? just getting your definition of band wagon
lol. of course M's fans are bandwagonners. are you kidding me?

I'm not sure why you're so upset about what I said. I merely was pointing out that about 75% of the people who had butler fever in march/april won't buy a single butler ticket next season, have no clue about what type of class is coming in, and won't even follow the team.

To an extent, every school is comprised of a ton of bandwagon fans. Some more, some less. This year's butler team happened to have a lot more.

sheesh, you guys are so defensive these days. lighten up.

Excellent point, sirbri. For two weeks, GomoHomo was proud to be a Butler grad.

And LMAO at IUDOLTMAN for referencing Butler's "nationwide" fanbase.

last i checked purdue has been to final fours. last i checked purdue has facilities that would rape butler's. last i checked purdue offers an education superior to butler's. last i checked purdue played competition superior to butler.

what has butler given its fans that purdue hasn't? whatever that means..

Could be true, but using your random number, 74% wouldn't buy a ticket if Hayward came back anyways. They only cheered because it was a local underdog going up against one of the best programs in the history of the sport.

last time i played there (not that long ago) i remember there was no air conditioning. or maybe they just turned it off. whatever, that's beside the point.

i'm not trying to hate on butler, i actually have a lot of good friends who go there and some are student-athletes. half of my family graduated from there. my point is please don't compare butler's program to purdue's. that is all.

why would compare a program that went to the final game against a turdue program.

exactly. they're not on the same level. that's not bad for either of them; hell butler is a 4,000 student school and has had a high degree of success. only duke and gonzaga could say they've had a higher rate of success for schools that small.
