Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

i thought you said they were all bandwagon fans
did i? from a small sampling of my friends there were quite a few who jumped on the butler bandwagon at full steam. there's nothing wrong with that, how else do you build team-fan relationships when your alumni base is small? it happens with many teams. it just makes me want to throw up a little bit when the guy i saw wearing a UNC shirt last season is wearing a Butler shirt this season. not my particular way of supporting a team, but to each his own.
Did you really see some of Butler's supposed "fans" wearing UNC shirts last year? Or is that just another of your ridiculous unprovable statements?
actually yes. that was just one piece of anecdotal evidence. i have quite a few friends who supported butler because they were from indy, were winning, and the whole david vs. goliath thing -- or some mixture of those three.
then your "friends" are d-bags.......don't blame that on the real Butler fans. Get new friends.
thats basically where my argument started if you followed the whole thing. i said that "i felt sorry for the true butler fans who have attended games for ages.", "they're a small, but dedicated fan base". how fair is it that some butler fans (and butler is just one argument here, you can throw in any regional sports team and get the same effect) attended every game, knows every player name, could recite butler history through and through -- and suddenly their team strikes rich and a flood of people who had no allegiances to butler prior suddenly are the biggest fans.

I'm guessing you went to EVERY IU game? If not, you are not a real fan. :fuckyou:

i've made my argument. you can ridicule it all you want; but they point i had was that bandwagon fans are no fun. believe you me, i've had my fair share of experiences with them at colts games. anyways, like i said gordon hayward has a terrific chance to get drafted in the first round, possibly even the lottery. the kid has a great head on his shoulders and i hope he does well in the NBA.

It's just too bad he went to a university who made an epic run and really had no real fans......poor kid.

you're entitled to your opinion. if you believe that was the argument/point i was trying to get across you're more than welcome to think that.

that bandwagon fans can spoil the experiences of a loyal fan base? i don't know if you're a colts fan or not, but if you are how fun was it to see everyone and their brother wearing a peyton manning jersey after 2006 when you agonized through many 3-13 seasons?

Are you refering to the ONE 3-13 season you agonized thru? Give it a rest. Just because every fan can't make every game does not mean they are not fans. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. And how in the hell do you know when people bought their Manning jerseys and how often they wear them? You sound like a moron who believes he is the teams only real fan.....get over yourself. I've been a Colts fan since their move to Indy and have only made 3 games in person, I guess I'm not a fan in your book, huh?

ok, so you're obviously a dedicated follower. i've been to every game since i was born (besides the point), i can remember when the stadium was either empty, or mostly filled with jets/packers/dolphins fans. now, where do you think all the extra colts fans came from? and why did the season ticket waiting list suddenly spike?

my definition of a bandwagon fan is someone who never gave a rats about the team or their performance until they perform well.

also, the colts have had three 3-13 seasons since moving to indianapolis, and many more below or hovering around that same mark.

I don't see how more fans ruined the winning for those who suffered threw those 3-13 seasons. Honestly how bad was it to see all those number 18 jersey's? If anything you should be thanking the bandwagon fans for helping keep the team in Indy. Remember the talks of the colts in LA?

another turdue fan upset that butler gave their fans something purdue cant
last i checked purdue has been to final fours. last i checked purdue has facilities that would rape butler's. last i checked purdue offers an education superior to butler's. last i checked purdue played competition superior to butler.

what has butler given its fans that purdue hasn't? whatever that means..
hinkle is superior to keadys cheating court

1980 was a good year. nice final four. no final game. i know you arent old enough to remember. maybe you can as bri on your next date night,

how are the laker fans doing again?

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
