  • Former Buckeye Offutt to be a Hoosier?
Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

one thing i've always liked about walter (besides his excellent court vision) is his perimeter defense. he should definitely be able to help us out in that situation, and honestly he could become our first two off the bench.

This is probably the smartest recruiting move Crean has made so far.

I'm also reading rumors on the Scout board that Emmanuel Negedu has been cleared to play...but not at Tennessee. Now rumors are spreading that he may come to IU also as a walk-on.

I don't know. Something tells me that Crean didn't have to much to do with recruiting him, I could be wrong, but Offut just wanted to play closer to home on a big stage like the B10 and is willing to pay his own way. He is only considering Ohio because of the coach that recruited him. If a school like Ball State offered him a scholarship, he would still choose IU because he wants to play on a bigger level. Who knows, but if Illinois offers, he might consider them. I hope I am wrong. I would love to see him in an IU uniform and play a bigger role next year than Rivers. Maybe Rivers will quit and give up his scholarship to Offut. ;)

Walter chose to go to Ohio. You can't blame a kid for taking a free full-ride education to a pretty good school that will allow him to be an impact player the year after next.

Crean goes from potentially having two FREE weapons to having none. Something good has got to happen eventually...
