Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I'd settle for 14.

Add Syracuse, Missouri, and Pittsburgh.

I like the idea .... 16 teams split into an East and West division. Football in particular would be awesome with the addition of Nebraska and Pitt. The Pitt/PSU rivalry would be even more awesome. Syracuse would be a badass addition for basketball.

The Big Ten would love to add the New York market...which is why I am sure they are looking at Syracuse and Rutgers. Rutgers is said to be so high in the running because of its proximity to New York City...plus Rutgers is top notch academically.

The Big Ten has extended offers to Missouri, Notre Dame, Rutgers, and Nebraska. If all four accept offers, the B10 will extend one additional offer to make a 16-team conference.

I like Mizzou. Nebraska is pretty eh to me. Notre Dame won't accept. I would would have much rather seen Pitt or Syracuse than Rutgers though.

I would air on the side that ND will decline, however I don't think the B10 would have offered if they didn't think that ND wasn't at least thinking about it.

also, what do you guys think the new conference name should be?

I think that if the conference adds 1 or 3 new teams you keep the Big Ten name on recognition alone. But once you add four you almost have to change the name..
