Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Correction- According to Inside the Hall you currently have 4 2012 slots available. Davis signs for 2011 then yes you would have room for those three.
I guess you were right, we do have 4. I would like still like to keep 4 for that class, but I feel good having 3, if he signs Davis. The last time I looked at the scholarship numbers, Carlino must have been part of it. I still hope for a transfer or two!!! ;)

Dedicated Roth and Pritch are off the books by 2012 unless Roth is granted a redshirt year. Who from your last class do you wanna see leave. Elston??? Creek??? Watford??? Hulls???Capo??? Bawa???? One of those would have to leave to open more room for 2012 and very few leave after their junior year so I doubt Tom or Hulls leave after the 2011 season.

edit I meant Roth not Hulls

No to the first 4 1/2. Maybe yes to the last 1 1/2. I would go into a deep, deep drinking binge if Elston, Creek, CW, or Hulls left.

There was, but Crean wanted to sign a bunch of worthless players instead of just taking his medicine the first few seasons.......oh wait, we did both and are now in a tough situation scholarship wise.........if only someone saw this coming.
What recruits are you talking about that will still be here in 2012?????

According to Scout they still have 3 open schollies for 2012 plus the oversign, which they would surely use if the right player wanted to commit. And that's assuming nobody leaves, which it's likely at least 1 will by 2012.

My only question is this; Everyone is talking about the 2012 class. What about the 2011 class??? Any big recruits we're looking at?

Almost sounds like he will commit soon, and it maybe the Hoosiers. I hope Crean can keep his attitude in check. The only problem with Davis committing, is that we will only have two scholarships for the loaded 2012 class. I know Davis is rated fairly high, and could climb even higher after the AAU season is over, so Crean probably couldn't do that much better with a 2012 recruit, I could be wrong.

I sure wish there was a way to free up about two additional scholarship spots for that 2012 class. ;)
I wouldn't put too much stock into what other players know. Part of the reason lewis Jackson committed to purdue was because Tyler zeller told him he was ready to commit to purdue

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I have to quit thinking about this, I keep getting confused on the scholarship. Unless I keep the damn thing right in front of me so I can study it, I will never keep the damn thing straight. I guess I was thinking if Pritchard and/or Roth left, it would free up one for Davis and still keep the four intact for 2012. Wouldn't that be the case?

I think he would have been a nice fit for Purdue. IMO, I think he would have been a better fit for Purdue than NC.

Please tell me it's Pritchard.

Also, does Peegs say anything about Offutt?

Walter Offutt is waiting for his financial aid papers to be approved (which they probably will be). I've also heard about the transfer, and I think it will surprise some people. I'm not 100% on the details so I'll leave it at that.

i mean, i'm not sure if it's true or not so I'm not going to start a rumor. actually, the rumor was already started before so you have like a 1/6 chance of getting it right.
