| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Without brandishing a weapon or showing an intent to hurt someone, I fail to see the need to taser this kid. If you are close enough to tase the kid, weren't you close enough to grab him? |

Actually in the video the cop was at least 5 feet away when he got him with the taser. You have to take every breach of security seriously, no matter how harmless it may look. Kid could run onto the field from one end, act like he's just messing around and then by the time he gets to the other end attack a player or something. Plus, the fan is likely drunk and then you don't know what he'll do. He might want to go out with a bang by attacking a player, officer, trying to run back into the stands. Who knows? Taser that fucker and make sure the only person hurt is the moron running onto the field. |

Agreed. Running on the field during a game is stupid. If you want to be on the field so bad, maybe you can run the bases with the 5 year olds after the game. I remember there was a dad and his kid that ran on the field and attacked a coach a while back. I think the dad had a knife too. There is just know way to evaluate the situation that quickly, determine the kid is no threat to anyone, and allow him to run around juking security for 5 minutes. I say tase anyone who runs out on the field. |

I seriously doubt that any of these athletes were scared of this kid. I don't see every situation being the same. If a couple fans run on the field at once, that is a totally different situation, imo. I didn't appear that this kid went directly at any player? Grab him and take him to jail. A much funnier scenario, imo, would be to see one of these huge athletes (Albert, Howard, Ludwick, etc) lay the fucker out with one shot to the face. |

Has anyone here been tased before? I have as prt of an experiment and it doesn't even hurt after about 5 minutes. Its an easy way to subdue someone thats trying to evade you -- this situation seemed to fit the standards for a good taze job. |

same. tazing hurts about the same as a seasonal flu shot, it might sting for a little bit longer, but barely. mase, on the other hand, hurts and stings for a LONG time. |

And I thought we were buds...cheap shots never get old though ;) Bri, I know you've had a run in with the law (as have I), but why in the world have you been maced that many times? |

once because i wanted to see what it was like. the rest of the times were being at the wrong place at the wrong time. it seems i always turn the corner and end up getting sprayed due to two guys fighting right there...i've been sprayed by a fire extinguisher mace device the cops had once at a protest. funny thing was, i wasn't even a protester...i just dropped by to bring my friend a sandwich. another time my buddy locked me in the back of a uhaul and unloaded an entire canister into the back. just random things like that... br |

lol, sounds like someone could use some new friends. I'm assuming it's like being poked in both eyes, with a ridiculous burning sensation? And how long before you can see/don't notice it anymore? |

i wouldn't say it feels like getting poked. it just burns...i mean, imagine pouring pepper on your eyes. that's essentially what it is. it makes it really hard to breathe sometimes because you keep coughing and your nose runs like a mother fucker. if it's a direct spray, the initial stage of the exposure will go away fairly quickly (5-10 minutes). After that you'll have this burner sensation all over your face for a long time (anywhere between 1-3+ hours). all you want to do is drive and hang your head out the window or sit in front of a fan. oh yeah, and you're going to want to be EXTREMELY careful when taking a shower. br |

Yeah I bet....wouldn't be much fun to have that sensation end, and then wash it all over your body again. |
