Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

CHI is dumb if they sign him, and Kentucky is even dumber if they decide to throw more money at Calipari just to keep him. Of course he is 'intrigued', it gives him leverage against UK..........good thing he isn't greasy.

lol.

the article said that he and the UK administration haven't seen eye to eye in his first year there, which goes along with the latest report on academics. it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to see him leave for an NBA job. chicago seems like his best bet.

I don't think there is anyway CHI signs anybody before they find out what Phil Jackson is going to do.

Byron Scott would be a better fit for CHI than Calipari.

totally agree on both fronts, although i don't think that phil is interested in developing young talent at chicago. as weird as it sounds, seeing phil jackson coaching the clippers next season wouldn't surprise me that much.

CHI already has 3 really good pieces, DWade is from CHI and if they get another semi-star suddenly their youth doesn't matter so much.

if chicago doesn't hire him, and phil leaves, i think the lakers will turn to calipari first in their job hunt too. they'll want to attract a big name. UK fans better get used to hearing his name being brought up in nearly every head coaching vacancy.

Really?.....cause I see Byron Scott as a solid choice for LA as well. They love him in LA, and you can't argue with his track record.

For anyone who wants to rip me for being high on Byron Scott, here is his coaching record.

i think scott is a logical choice for just about anyone, but teams don't seem to want to bite on him or avery johnson for some reason. i thought scott would be a logical choice for the pacers, but they extended JOB's contract instead.

it also shouldn't hurt that any team that hires Byron Scott will probably have Chris Paul on their roster within a few years of the hiring..

A sub .500 coach? Sounds like a move the pacers would make.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Don't be dumb. He took over horrible teams and posted crappy records in their 1st season. They dramatically improved in their 2nd season. Hell, he even had a season where they played games in OKC because of Katrina and still won nearly 50 games. Only an idiot thinks the guy can't coach.

How excellent would it be if he left for the Bulls, then the ncaa finds multiple violations at kentucky.
