Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

man i was hoping thhis guy wouldn't commit/sign. I know that doesn't necessairly hurt us for 2012(at least i don't think it does) but still.

Here is to hoping that he is at least as productive as Pritchard.

You guys sure were pumped when Sampson was pulling exclusively JuCo classes...what happened to your mirth?

I dont know about this one either, I sure would have liked to have at least given Kevin Noreen a chance...a proven player...my cronies in Bloomington tell me his visit this weekend to IU has already been cancelled because of the Michel signing?

Dont forget...it hasnt been unusual throughout Crean's tenure for one kid's signing leading to another kid's transfer...like I said earlier, Crean has a method to his madness, and its hard to understand.

I've been reading the Indy Star blogs and such...I sure wish people would shutup about Crean "not being able to coach" and "not being a fit for IU" and "not being able to recruit"....he coached and won big-time in the hardest conference in the country for a long time. And did it without cheating. Good things will come...he has just got to get over this hump, get his first MARQUEE recruiting class, and win some games. It is going to happen.

i've got no problem, as i've said along, with bringing in a juco...my issue with michel is entirely concerned with the quality of the signing.

People won't shut up about him getting outcoached and outrecruited because it's the reality of the situation.........it happens consistently.

Nobody can figure out his line of thinking because IT MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING SENSE.

Crean didn't 'win big' in the Big East. Sure there were some good teams at the top, but there were also a lot of easy wins at the bottom..........and it's not like they were in the Big East all that long.

Fallen, I have always respected your opinion and you bring good insight to this board, but how long do we have to wait? I was a little overzealous last year with my prediction, but really wasn't that far off either and they would have been close to .500 if Creek hadn't gotten hurt. I think they will play at least .500 ball next year, but how long do we have to wait for Crean to start winning 20 plus games? He may not have until the 2012 class. Maybe the AD is/will start putting pressure on him to win, the fans sure will.

I would give him until the 2012 class if he would quit wasting scholarships. I know he isn't a great tactical coach, but at this point can IU really get someone better?

I didn't realize that the Conference USA was the toughest conference in the nation.

Don't confuse people with the facts. Other than the Wade years, Crean was a .500 coach in the mighty Conference USA. They go to the Big East and he goes 31-19.......with early exits from the tournament besides when he had Wade.......hardly impressive. As I've stated many many many many times, Crean does not outcoach people and needs a talent advantage to keep up with the big boys.

the only bright sides I can find about Michel is that he supposedly can rebound and hit an outside jumper.

This isn't such a bad move. Crean will not have to keep reloading. Everybody knows how difficult it is to find 5 - 6 decent recruits if your not as dirty as calipari. If Noreen says no, and we don't get this guy then who do we get? It is great to have a defensive big man in the middle. How did knight feel about defense? Crean is setting us up for the long hall. He isn't going to take chances on 1 and dones. Right now we can't afford to have those kind of players unless they take us deep into the tournament. 2012 Is going to be a big season and recruiting wise. Now I'm hoping we can somehow land Offutt. He fills a hole, and if we are only stuck with him for 2 years.
