Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Tonight's beer of the night is HoneyMoon by BlueMoon. Seasonal Summer Ale.

I've drank a couple warm... and now one that's kind of cold. Love the flavor, even when hot. I imagine my last few that are cold will be nice though.

I would recommend for a decent time out.

I was drinking some BBC Mikkeller last night. Pretty good beer that you don't need too many of (7.5% alc.). I don't believe they bottle it, so you have to get a growler filled up at one of their breweries. The beer is actually a tribute to a dutch brewer named Mikkeller who brewed a 1000 ibu beer.

Define "women's beer" brian.

They don't offer many exotics at Walmart....

Was going to go with New Castle.. but wanted to try a Summer Ale (never have before). BlueMoon isn't bad... and HoneyMoon tastes pretty damn good. I could have drank the whole thing warm if I wanted to...Plus it got me some booty. So please define this "womens beer".

Cause when I think of that, I think of Michelob light... then Smirnoffs and Boones Farm and any other girly fixture. I think people who drink vodka drink girly drinks. That could just be me.

Hell, the night before I had some Makers Mark by myself. You wanna bag on some good bourbon now? Lol good luck with that one. Next you'll be giving me shit next week for drinking Woodford Reserve.

Never been a fan of Maker's Mark. I always end-up with tons of it as gifts from people that live near the distillery. Woodford Reserve on the other hand is pretty nice.

You just reminded me though that I forgot to get the name of some 23-year-old bourbon I was drinking a couple weeks ago. We had a pretty expensive tab at a restaurant, and I left a nice tip for the waiter. He came back with a glass of this stuff on him. All I know was that he said they normally charge $48 / shot, and it began with a P. It was extraordinary, but then again, 20+ year-old anything rarely disappoints.

Edited: Found it. It was Pappy van Winkle. Pretty good stuff. I think I'd rather have an 18-year-old scotch though.

I have never bought into the whole woman's beer, or woman's drink thing.

If it tastes good and gets you a buzz then who the fuck cares if it isn't manly.

All of Blue Moon's line is pretty good. The traditional Belgian White is probably my favorite.

Perhaps, but i don't drink Smirnoff Ice. If i liked one and was in the mood for it I would drink one though. If they laughed oh well.

If i am out with my buddies though i am drinking whatever kind of Sam they have or Water Moccasins.

any beer that has a sweet taste or is intended to have an orange slice squeezed in it...

There are a couple exceptions. pumpkin ale, oktoberfest weizen (although, i still pass on that), or the occasional microbrewed hard apple cider from a local winery/brewery during the x-mas season (again, pass...).

Hm. Guess people just have different tastes. I enjoy wheat beers a lot. Except Bud Light Wheat. That shit sucks.
