Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

So I went to Nashville for the first time since I've been 21 and had a blast. Saturday night we went to a place called Tin Roof I believe. Anyways, I think it was around 3 in the morning and we were getting ready to leave when I hear a bunch of people making commotion.

In the corner there was this big table next to the wall and there were about 8 people (4 girls and guys each) standing on the bench seat around the table chanting "IU, IU, IU". So I stumbled over there and joined in on the fun for a minute or two before I started a "Tom Crean" chant. Obviously my friends thought I was retarded and we got some funny looks, but it was pretty fucking funny.

You are all a little dumber for reading this now.

Yes, it certainly was. First night went to I think it's called Paradise Park. You like that place?

Well, you've obviously never been to Nashville bars then.

the biggest problem with nashville bars is that they're so effing expensive. you really have to find the right spots to avoid paying near-ballpark prices for beer.

i agree, any country bar sucks. hands down. luckily there were some places that avoided that genre completely.

paradise park? not ringing a bell...

Country band, maybe you've never been there. Although at Tin Roof they played many country songs as well.

And I guess since we were guests they were trying to be hospitable hosts, and I didn't buy many drinks.

Spent about $100 during the two nights out, which I though was pretty reasonable.

I guess if I want to sit around, cry, and feel sorry for myself, I'll head out to a country bar.

Country sucks! If I want to get drunk and get laid, it's Rock or Dance clubs (not line dancing and boots)!

Wow, I feel sorry for you if you think that's what country is all about.

And it's not line dancing and boots, trust me. I don't think I saw one person wearing boots and wranglers at either place we were at. Just normal casual attire, whatever that is for the individual.

And I'd argue that country bars could give someone the best chance for a hook up. Everyone dances around all over each other to the fast songs, but then they throw out a good love song every once and a while too for a slow dance. And if you don't think girls get into that, then you're just crazy, or we know different types of girls. That's the best time to make your move.

I really don't care what type of live music it is at bars. It just better be good music.

No need to feel sorry for me. I've been thru my "bar years' and did quite well, thanks for caring though.

Feel free to take a few words of mine and change turn the rest of the sentence into an alternate ending.
