Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

UNC @ Illinois
NC State @ Wisco

Looks like we'll know our opponent sometime this week. I'm looking at Clemson or Virginia...

All 5 of those matchups look very good.

MSU at Duke - Possibly the preseason top 2 teams in the country facing each other. Have to go with Duke since they pretty much never lose in Cameron Indoor.

Purdue at VA Tech - With Delaney coming back, Tech could be the preseason second favorite team in the ACC. But I have to pick Purdue because they are a Final Four caliber team (as long as they're healthy).

OSU at FSU - Yes, they both lost their best players in Turner and Alabi. But there is still plenty of talent on both teams with young studs. I like OSU because FSU really can't win on the big stage.

UNC at Illinois - Two squads that look to rebound after disappointing seasons. Lot of talent returning and top recruiting classes coming in. UI has the homecourt advantage, but I pick the Heels to win.

NC State at Wisky - We all know that Bo Ryan's teams will be good even when they lose their best players. And NC State could be a sleeper team with everyone returning and a top recruiting class coming in. Wisky will win though because they don't lose at home.

Why wouldn't he just say all the games so we know who we play and if we are home or not? And how does he even know what the matchups will be?

Well, I definitely want a home game, but since we had one last year I don't know if we will get it or not. I would be ok with playing Clemson I guess.

Wouldn't be too surprised with a rematch @ Maryland either.

Purdue/Va. Tech????
Brum,

The best I can figure is that the matchups where set prior to Saturday. With JJ possibly going to the NBA ESPN didn't want to take the risk. Three sides determine the matchups. The two conferences and ESPN. Plus I personally believe they try to set it up so it goes 6-5. This is a planned Big Ten win. VT has been on the wrong side of the bubble the last two years. This gives them a chance for a big win while a loss helps out their sos.

Plus give VT some credit they tied for 3rd in the ACC last season.

Jesus H. Christ, I hope that's a joke. Purdue is playing Virginia Tech because VT is supposed to be one of the 2 or 3 best teams in the ACC next year.

ACC sans Duke was weak as fuck last year.

Maryland was alright.

Beyond that, a joke.

I actually agree.

Duke certainly was a very good and Maryland was alright. Sure Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Florida State all made the tournament last season. But they were all eliminated the first weekend and were no higher than a 7 seed. So, they were decent, but they were pretty much mediocre.

i think it's going to be a tough game for purdue. VT usually brings good energy (at home) and athleticism and of course PU is going to be very very good. plus tech isn't that bad. but bottom line, for tv there are bigger big10 draws than the boilers. it's going to be a good game...and a PU win in the end...

Please stop being reasonable, OHB doesn't like that.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
