Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Everyone needs to root for this. This matchup would be the most entertaining Finals matchup in a long time. CLE would have to go small, which is their best lineup anyways. I have a hard time believing that the winner of each game wouldn't have atleast 115+ points. I am a PHX fan, but I won't hold it against you if you decide to jump on the bandwagon.............and yes, I realize that this is probably the least likely matchup to happen considering who is still in the playoffs. The smart money is on LAL/ORL, but screw both of those teams.

I think ORL/PHX would be pretty entertaining, but I have ties to both PHX and CLE so I'm pulling for that matchup as well..

the thought of a basketball game where a team scores 115+ points is probably the least appealing thing in the world to watch. so much for defense in the playoffs.

PHX plays at a high pace and I think has led the league in offensive efficiency. It's tough to play defense when they never let you get set up. Throw in the illegal defense rules, the shooting ability of professional players, etc and it's easy to see how a fast paced game can get into the 110+ range......I suppose you hated Showtime in the 80s too.

there are many ways to slow a fast paced team down.

The most interesting thing to me about a potential PHX/ORL series is what happens 4 minutes into the game when Frye comes in because Collins has 3 fouls. I suppose Lopez could be back, but who knows how many minutes he can really play. Seeing Howard either try to guard Amare when he faces up or even on the pick and roll would be interesting........either that, or Howard hanging around the 3 point line because he is matched up on Frye. ATL only tried to attack Howard in this manner for 3 out of 16 quarters.....and coincidentally that was the game they actually had a chance of winning.

As far as the PHX/LA series goes........I wonder if they will put JRich on Kobe at first and Grant Hill on Artest. Artest would abuse JRich in the post, and putting Hill on Artest would allow him to play a semi-zone since PHX will want Artest to shoot jumpers as much as possible. PHX is going to have to shoot lights out to win this series, because I just don't see how they matchup with LA defensively. I doubt the winner of any game scores less than 105.

If you have watched the NBA at all this season, you know CLE's best lineup is their small lineup where LeBron plays PF. CLE would much rather see PHX than LA.

UM doesn't Cle have to eliminate Boston first.

115+ points in a game is still ridiculous, boring basketball. I mean, I could just go down to the street corner to watch that kind of ball...

Yes, this is just the matchup I'm hoping for. There is no guarantee that CLE will even make it past BOS.

Yeah, a fast paced game of great offensive execution is boring to watch. I'd much rather watch pitchers spit and grab their crotch for 3 hours. You know the rules are set up to help the offense........just like passing offenses in the NFL.........I don't hear you griping about the lack of defense during the NFL season when defensive players can only be as physical as guys in a flag football game.

comparing sports is an apples to oranges type of deal. Comparing styles of gameplay is actually relevant. Any team worth a damn doesn't get 115+ points scored on them in a game. They just aren't trying that hard.

The NBA does have 8 more minutes than a college game. Plus the NBA has less traveling calls
