Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

So when exactly did you like the NBA?.........when the Knicks were pushing and shoving everyone all over the court in the early 90s?
yup.
They gave up over 95 per game in their best season when they had the top ranked defense.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/NYK/1993.html
...and in the playoffs -- when teams are supposed to actually put efforts in at both ends -- they only gave up more than 95 points once in twenty-five games.

http://www.databasebasketball.com/teams/teamscores.htm?tm=NYK&yr=1993&lg=n

They gave up under 88 points per game in the playoffs.
And you will see the same type of thing with this year's playoffs as well. The numbers might not be quite as good, but part of that can be attributed to teams like ORL and PHX playing at a very high level offensively.

As for the LeBron thing, I don't think this series is over.......but the booing of the crowd and the media calling him out is exactly what needed to happen. Basically, he decided to settle for jump shot after jump shot. He was just way too passive early on. CLE had a chance to really put BOS in a bad position early in the game when they were up 6 or so, and then BOS goes on a 16-0 run and took the crowd completely out of the game. Mike Brown is the bigger problem. This guy is an awful overall coach.....he is a good defensive coach, but that's about it. His substitution patterns make no sense, and he hasn't realized that CLE's small lineup can destroy just about everyone except LA and ORL. Why is Verajo(sp) on the bench so much? He can guard any 4-5 BOS has. He is the perfect guy to play Rasheed on the pick and roll because he is quick enough to recover. To me, he is the poor man's Noah.......or the annoying European man's Noah. LeBron should be running pick and rolls with whoever Garnett/Sheed is guarding. Perkins and the Baby aren't going to scare him when finishing around the basket. Mo Williams, West, and Parker should get a ton of open looks in game 6......either that or LeBron will be finishing around the basket a lot. I still think CLE wins in 7.

Streaky jump shooters + settling for jumpers = Poor offensive output.

They were hitting everything from everywhere in game 3.........but yes, it is horrible game planning........and was made even worse by not making adjustments.

The thing is though that I think Lebron like Brown because he pretty much lets Lebron do whatever he wants.

On a separate, though related note, I saw today where San Antonio is open to trading Tony Parker. There was some talk earlier of New York being a trading partner. If New York can get Parker, and can convince Lebron that they also have a legitimate shot of landing Bosch, i don't know if he turns that down. Especially if they lose to Boston.

Where do you think Wade will end up? Personally, I would want to get the hell out of Miami if I was him. He had no support during the playoffs, and people in Miami just do not support their teams. I have seen so many Heat and Marlins games on TV where the stadiums are empty even when the teams are good.

If NY is involved, I think there has to be a 3rd team and some sign and trades.........they really don't have much that I think SA would be interested in outside of Lee and maybe Duhon.

Jackson and Popovich wouldn't..........but LeBron would trust their judgment. Not sure if there is another coach in the league he would trust though.

SA needs to trade Jefferson for 20 cents on the dollar.......he doesn't fit Popovich's mold.

There is a lot of talk of him in Chicago. I think it depends on whether Miami can bring in another quality guy. If they can get Bosch early in the free agency period i think he comes back and Pat Riley coaches them next year.

I would imagine a dream scenario for him would be for him and Bosch to land in Chicago. Wade, Rose, and Bosch could do some damage in the east.

I think Jefferson would be an excellent fit for the Suns..

I think early in his career he would have been, but I just don't like him much......especially his salary, which Sarver will never pay in a million years anyways. I'd much rather have an old Grant Hill.
