Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

The thing is though that I think Lebron like Brown because he pretty much lets Lebron do whatever he wants.

On a separate, though related note, I saw today where San Antonio is open to trading Tony Parker. There was some talk earlier of New York being a trading partner. If New York can get Parker, and can convince Lebron that they also have a legitimate shot of landing Bosch, i don't know if he turns that down. Especially if they lose to Boston.
Where do you think Wade will end up? Personally, I would want to get the hell out of Miami if I was him. He had no support during the playoffs, and people in Miami just do not support their teams. I have seen so many Heat and Marlins games on TV where the stadiums are empty even when the teams are good.
There is a lot of talk of him in Chicago. I think it depends on whether Miami can bring in another quality guy. If they can get Bosch early in the free agency period i think he comes back and Pat Riley coaches them next year.

I would imagine a dream scenario for him would be for him and Bosch to land in Chicago. Wade, Rose, and Bosch could do some damage in the east.
Wade, Bosh, Rose, Gibson, Noah starting 5 is pretty scary. I'm not sure how Wade and Rose will mesh, since both need the ball in their hands a lot. Maybe Rose dominates the ball for most of the game, and then Wade closes teams out. I still think he ends up staying in MIA or teaming with LeBron somewhere else like NY.

With the adjusted cap I'm pretty sure Miami could afford Wade + James which would be frightening.

Yeah, but I think if those guys are going to team up they want more players around them. The whole point of teaming up is to win championships. If that's the case, they both need to be in a situation where they make less money from their team and more from endorsements. NY is the logical place for something like that to happen, and they would probably end up having a NIKE deal or whoever before they even signed their NBA contracts.

The thing that could determine alot is how long Lebrons wait to decide on where he goes. If he waits a while some teams may just spend their money elsewhere on some of the other big names.

Question, do the pacers have any cap room or we looking at the same team again?

no way lebron or wade would agree to be on the same team. that's pretty much the opposite of what the NBA is all about.

i'm a bit late on this 'debate'...but...

115 points does not necessarily make good basketball. it could...but odds are it doesn't. i remember when people were pissed with the pistons and then (to a lesser extent) knicks playing defense and making the league boring by bringing down the scores. as if average points per game was a critical measure of basketball quality. but truth is those were not the least entertaining playoff games to watch...the playoffs this year (reinforcing an ongoing trend) are absolute shite...almost an extension of the regular season. phx/cle would be the equivalent of the professional aau shootout...pathetic hoops masked by almost accidental incredible talent on the court...

bottom line...the nba needs a serious overhaul. otherwise, in 10 years it is by far the least watched and least profitable of the big 4 professional sports in the states. magic/bird/jordan gifted the league a brilliant foundation, but the present executives and stars are squandering it left and right...

The pacers have cap room....... Next year.

Hello 35-40 wins and the late lottery.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I don't see hockey EVER being as popular as the NBA. Too many people play basketball compared to hockey during their youth to ever allow that to happen.

Apparently both of you missed the links showing both the DET and NYK teams giving up more than the team that gave up the least this season.........with DET giving up triple digits per game.

but the present executives and stars are squandering it left and right...
i believe the contrary. when i was growing up, the superstars of the league were shaq, vince carter, tracy mcgrady, etc. compared to today's lebron james, kobe bryant, dwade, chris bosh, chris paul, kevin durant, derron williams, and i could continue going on for a while. basically, there was an NBA talent gap between jordan's retirement and lebron's rise (about 2005), but the current and rising stars in the NBA are as good as it's been in a long, long time.

Yep, unfortunately people who were turned off by that group are the same ones who think its still the same without really watching games.

The NHL overtaking the NBA?................wow.

this wold seem to reinforce the line that the nba is worse off than previously. certainly fans of those two franchises can't possibly not be reminiscent of better days/basketball...can they?

cheers evil. glad i didn't waste any time watching those teams this year.
