Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

This game right here might change the NBA or the NCAA dramatically for the next decade plus.

Either LeBron is leaving Cleveland or John Calipari is leaving Kentucky for Cleveland. Mark it, Brown is gone, and Bron is gone too if Cal isn't his coach next year. This one game could and probably will have a monumental effect on two levels of basketball.

Indiana Pacers
The Pacers can't even attract low-level free agents. Indiana might be one of the least attractive places to play professional basketball. (I know you were kidding btw).

This game and game 5, the Cavs quit in this game just like they did in game 5. And Lebron seemed to quit to, after he hit 2 3s early in the 4th quarter he didnt even look to shoot another one. Didnt even look to take the game over and had no since of urgency at all. I no it had to knock a guy who just had 25 18 and 10 but he had 9 Tos and some of them were crucial down the strech.

IMO it looked like Lebron had already checked out of Cleveland and i dont see him coming back.

Two Scenarios:

1) LeBron returns to Cleveland with John Calipari as his new head coach.

OR

2) LeBron goes to New Jersey (soon to be Brooklyn) where he has a billionaire owner, John Calipari as his coach, and a high lottery pick.

I'm not buying that LBJ gave up. His teammates, especially Jamison, laid a fat turd. Could LeBron have played better? Yes. But honestly the Celtics aren't that great (wait until they get rolled by the Magic) and to have LBJ put up a trible double and still not win it shows you the talent around him just isn't there. I could easily envision him back in Cleveland, but like I said it'll be with John Calipari as his coach.

Maybe gave up is the wrong word, but if you the best player in the game and the leader of your team and its an elimination game i would have liked to seen more urgency.

I saw LeBron giving his absolute all especially the last few minutes of the game, but Boston kept dealing Cleveland hard punches and LBJ's teammates never got back up. To me Cleveland has assembled a poor man's version of Kobe's surrounding cast, and what are the results you get? A poor man's.

Shaq vs. Bynum
Jamison vs. Gasol
Artest vs. Parker
Fisher vs. Williams

plus LA has Odom.

As far as where Lebron goes, if Cal ends up in Cleveland Lebron may very well stay but I don't see it making a difference as far as them winning it all. Mike Brown isnt a good coach but i dont thinks he is the sole reason they didnt win it all. His supporting cast just isnt very good. This is why I dont see him staying in Cleveland, if he goes to New York with all of there cap room he knows one of the other big free agents will follow and will be better than any player he has played with in his career thus increasing his chances at a ring.

i'm sorry, but whether lebron laid down or not is not even the question. the fact is he has continually failed to rise up when the chips are down (the quietest triple (almost quadruple) double in this history of nba playoffs tonite)...and that is not very often in the nba. for a guy who is supposedly the savior of the nba, the heir apparent to great players...he has singularly failed to achieve any level of competitiveness attributable to those already mentioned before him. magic in his rookie year nobody can refute...and even when jordan was losing series he was the man and making it a hell of a game (not to mention series to remember). lebron has time after time failed to deliver. and he doesn't make those around him better either...not to mention the team's defense tonight on the ball was laughable.

but i do agree that mike brown is history...as well he should be.

Calipari isn't going anywhere this year. He's going to stay long enough to coach Michael Gilchrist.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I was just curious as to where ole Cam was getting his information on Calamari staying until Gilchrist came through.
