Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

LeBron to the Brooklyn Nets with a Russian Billionaire owner along with Phil Jackson and Amare Stoudamire .... I'd pay to watch that.
Would love the Nets to get Lebron. No need for Amare. Brook Lopez, Devin Harris and Lebron James would be a great team. Harris would be the oldest of the bunch at 27. I predict at least 5 straight championships.
Devin Harris is already 27? Jesus, where did the time go?

I remember him playing in the B10 like it was yesterday.

Bron could bring the Nets franchise back to life.

I don't think that Bron will go to NJ. They aren't moving to Brooklyn for two more seasons, and I doubt he'll want to hang in Newark for two years..

My guess is that he will sign a short-term (2 or 3 year) contract with the stipulation that he will resign if Cleveland wins a championship in that time. by doing that he'll keep cleveland management on its toes forcing them to create a good team around him.

Hasn't he been trying to do that for the past 5 or so years?

What about the Knickerbockers? What happened to all that talk? Knicks desperately need something lol.

Cavs fired Mike Brown. Shocking!
Not so fast my friend!

Preliminary reports were wrong. Brown not fired yet, though most don't expect him to be back next year.

After hearing that presser with the Cavs GM I think LeBron is as good as gone, and the GM seems to be contempt with that fact right now.

Bosh to the Lakers for Gasol in a sign and trade. You heard it here first.

Also most of these players will do sign and trades I presume; they leave too much $$$ on the table otherwise by walking and signing with a new team.
no way the lakers do that. also, there's no way the cavs will sign and trade james. that would be an absolute last resort. as for everyone else, if they have larry bird's rights they probably will do sign and trades.
Word on the street is that Gasol and Kobe aren't BFF.

And at least they'd get something out of him if that traded him instead of walking. Although, I do think he'll remain in Cleveland.

the Lakers have set a pretty clear precedent that they don't make moves to appease Kobe Bryant. it's done a lot of good for them too, see why Kobe and the Lakers have won, and why LeBron and the Cavs haven't.

Just don't be surprised/shocked if it happens. Many people think that they'll trade Bynum for him instead, but if it's Gasol, I'll be the tall, goofy kid in the corner waiting to say I told you so :)

I thought that had more to do with Kobe rising to the moment and Lebron crumbling like a dried up leaf.

devin harris will be on the trading block with john wall coming into new jersey if they win the first pick so you would have john wall and lebron james in new jersey to go with another big free agent. although maybe cleveland trades for devin harris and brings in amare and lebron stays... too many scenerios this is going to be fun

My first comment is for the punching lama.......LeBron has carried a crappy supporting cast to the Finals, ECF, and atleast the 2nd round often. Kobe couldn't carry a crappy supporting cast past PHX, even with a 3-1 advantage.....DWade can't carry a crappy MIA supporting cast. Even Jordan couldn't carry a crappy supporting cast, so enough with your anti-LeBron rhetoric. The guy puts up a triple double with a bad shooting elbow, and people think he played poorly?....give me a break.

If LA could give up Bynum and others for Bosh, they would do it in a heartbeat. Not sure what street your 'word on the street' came from, but I doubt its from Muncie or wherever you're from. Gasol for Bosh won't happen. Kobe has a frosty relationship with a teammate?..........no, say it aint so......doesn't matter because winning cures all problems.

I have a really hard time seeing LeBron going to a team full of young players or lottery picks. He has tried developing a team in CLE for a while, and I think he is at the point where he wants proven studs surrounding him instead of 'maybe he will be good' or 'in a few years he will be great'. LeBron wants to win now.

I will be shocked if Mike Brown is officially canned before Mike Woodson.......in fact, there should be someplace where we can wager on this........actually, I can't believe Woodson hasn't been fired yet, how does that guy still have a job?

NJ is in play for LeBron because of their young talent, Jayz, and the russian billionaire...but I think they are his 3rd choice. CHI and NY make the most sense. In CHI, they already have some good young talent to build around. In NY, almost their entire roster becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. This past week has convinced me that LeBron is ready to move on to a team that doesn't require him to post amazing triple doubles just to win playoff games. My gut says NY, with D'Antoni's offense.........yikes.

Let's compare, shall we?

Shaq vs. Bynum -- In 2010, Bynum
Jamison vs. Gasol -- Gasol, I despise him, but it's not even close
Parker vs. Artest -- HAHA!
Fisher vs. Williams -- In the playoffs it's probably EVEN, but Mo Williams is younger

and then you have

Odom vs. Varejao off the bench, plus LA adds Shannon Brown and Jordan Farmar.

forget Kobe and LeBron, the supporting cast ISN'T EVEN CLOSE. Hell, even at their age Boston has a much better roster than the Cavs.

----------------------------

Bynum for Bosh is much more realistic but they flirted with that at the trade deadline but LA decided to put it on the back burner because they could probably get Bosh without having trade anything away. Either way LA won't do anything with their (quite possibly) 2x championship team because 1) they don't have to and 2) they don't want to breach the luxury tax after they bankroll Kobe this offsesason..

If I'm a big name free agent other than Lebron there no way I'm going to Cleveland. If Lebron stays in Cleveland I'd rather follow D-Wade to NY or Miami versus getting stuck in Cleveland for 5 years plus.
