Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I'm just happy I know a .iso file is. College did teach me something!!
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

The one part of F.E.A.R. when you turn around to get on a ladder and the little girl is right there made me afraid to be alone in the dark.

That game scared the shit out of me. It had me thinking about it in the daytime. Scary stuff.

Metro 2033 leans a little more heavy on the side of Half Life 2 in terms of fighting, etc., with the atmosphere of one of the F.E.A.R. games. Big game, lots of levels.

I couldn't put it down.

Did you ever play Fallout 3 (or any of that series, I guess. I've only played 3)? Seems like a similar concept, I'm curious if they feel similar or if they're completely different. Fallout 3 definitely didn't have much of the FEAR side to it, so I'm guessing they're different.

Fallout 3 was absolutely incredible. It's got a lot of the Fallout 3 atmosphere, ie, the post apocalyptic ruins, etc. It's just not as free roaming, or non-linear as FO3. Still though, it's an incredibly kick ass game.

It's set in the dark tunnels and subways of Russia after a new Nazi regime has taken over and destroyed most everything on the surface. Including a few mutants here and there, but mostly it's human to human combat.

That said, I'd love to see it evolve into something as non-linear as FO3 in the future. It has a small role playing element, shops, buy weapons, ammo, and armor, just doesn't lean on it too heavily.
