i doubt that very much. he's carolina's to lose, or something. i don't even know, i just know he isn't going to IU. neither is kaminski, zeller (don't really want him anyways, but i'll take anyone at this point), jeremiah davis, yogi, perea, etc, etc, etc. pretty soon we'll have 4 Tijan Jobes and 1 Jeremiah Rivers (not to be mistaken with brother). :banghead: |

Has Carolina even offered? You're either way overreacting to recent events or being extremely sarcastic. Either way I don't get your angle. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

finals are over. i might be exaggerating a tad, but doesn't it seem like everything is going the opposite way of where we want it? either way, i wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we ended up with 0 of the guys we're on hard for 2011/2012. seems like we've been in second or "one of my top" for too long. present day IU Recruiting summed up in one picture: Posted Image |

2011 hinges on Davis and Zeller and I think 2012 is all about DSR. IU is still strong with all 3, although still in some tough battles. If Crean locks up DSR, 2012 may be a big time class. He's really really good and he may be the key to Perea and others. |

Crean has work to do, no doubt, but he's doing everything in his powers and abilities. If he misses on '10, '11, and '12 and the current group doesn't develop, then go nuts. You should probably wait until key recruits decide before you go nutty. It's still possibly adds a monster '11 and '12 class. |

i lost a TON of faith in crean after the Guy Michel Mark whatever signing -- rightfully or not we'll see. i'll put it this way -- if Guy ever becomes a force in the big ten i will wear a kentucky shirt to the next IU/UK game. ------------- basically the Michel signing and the courtship of other scrub JuCos is what made me start to question crean hardcore. you all know that i've been one of his bigger supporters here, but i've always had questions in the back of my mind. basically i'm having a case of "buyer's remorse" with crean. i'm more than happy to give the man his due time and due process (i'm in no rush), but by the day i doubt very much that he's the guy to take us to where we want to go. believe me, i'd love nothing more than to see him prove me wrong. it's true that he's cleaned up the program and instilled a real sense of what a student-athlete truly is, of which i'll be forever grateful, but the product on the court has to count for something too. |

That's one signing that cost IU very little. Maybe some 2011 wiggle room, but it may also be Crean knowing that some players are going elsewhere and he still has the oversign for 2011. What does it cost IU? |

1) it's not the signing itself, okay the kid will more than likely pan out to be an absolute joke but i have nothing against him. it's the symbolic nature of the signing that bothers me the most. 2) it either means that crean knows he f'ed up the 2011 class enough that he won't get good enough players, or that he actually for real doesn't know what the hell he's doing. neither of which is particularly pleasing. 3) see appended portion of previous post. |

the guy michel whatever signing concerns me too...but i also wonder if crean even takes this gig in hindsight. no way he realized the fallout was going to be as absolute as it turned out to be. the administration, davis and sampson tenures really came together to form the perfect storm...so to speak. |
