Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

See not everyone thought it was a joke or they were serious about their comments. Maybe everyone should start putting one of these ;) after every comment they make, if they are joking. Without seeing the other persons expressions, it is so hard to tell. ;)

the fact that anyone would consider stevens as an option for IU makes it a complete joke to me.

Well, at his age he already has a final four to him name. Additionally, he's in a state with indiana and purdue, and several big time recruits are considering going there. I think what he's done at Butler is pretty incredible in his short tenure.

If we have another couple of bad years, Crean will be out, and I don't see us in a position to go out and get a marquee name. Pretty good chance we'd be going after a up and comer from the mid-major ranks. And I'd say the last couple of years, he's done as good of a job as anyone. If he keeps it up for the next couple of years, I don't think it would be a shocker

Come and join in song together, shout with might and main. Our beloved Alma Mater, sound her praise again. Gloriana Frangipana, E'er to her be true. She's the pride of Indiana, Hail to Old IU!

Cause there were so many high-major coaches just itching to take the helm last time, right? Who were you're top two choices...Tony Bennett who turned you down for...wait for it...Virginia, and Pitino? Cause Ricky P. was *that* close to walking away from Louisville...right. You're all insane. Stevens would be a stellar hire. He's won 89 games in three years. If Crean were to get canned, it would take another couple years which would let Stevens get a little older and tack on another 60 wins. He's already got as many Final Fours as your top-shelf hire in Crean. The only problem would be getting him to leave, which he wouldn't. He's got the sweet life and would never jump from his position as the coach of the second-best program in the state to become the 6th coach in 12 years at IU. I guess the incredulity is understandable after all. Maybe you should set your sights a little lower.

Come on now... I know IU has fallen, but we really can't land Butler's coach? Even Iowa could steal a coach from Butler.

Must be it. Or the joke fizzled and a bunch of people facepalmed what I think would be a great hire.
