Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

stop...just stop.

br
Cause there were so many high-major coaches just itching to take the helm last time, right? Who were you're top two choices...Tony Bennett who turned you down for...wait for it...Virginia, and Pitino? Cause Ricky P. was *that* close to walking away from Louisville...right. You're all insane. Stevens would be a stellar hire. He's won 89 games in three years. If Crean were to get canned, it would take another couple years which would let Stevens get a little older and tack on another 60 wins. He's already got as many Final Fours as your top-shelf hire in Crean. The only problem would be getting him to leave, which he wouldn't. He's got the sweet life and would never jump from his position as the coach of the second-best program in the state to become the 6th coach in 12 years at IU. I guess the incredulity is understandable after all. Maybe you should set your sights a little lower.
Thanks, Maker!

Here I was beginning to think I was unreasonable.

Now instead of 1 person looking like a fool we have 2.

Sweeeet.

Stevens > Crean when both have gotten to the Final Four? Good logic there.

IU can't land a top tier coach? With brand new facilities? Laughable.

Thank you PU fans for always providing a much needed laugh.

you're obviously missing the whole point in this thread...

br
And obviously you and some others have missed the point of this thread. I thought it was discussing information about Perea and DSR, not who is going to replace Crean, even if it was a joke or not.

When did I ever say this? My whole premise was that IF Crean were to get fired in the next couple of years, then Stevens would be a great replacement. And I find it pretty questionable to call Crean a top tier coach when he's gotten out of the 1st round twice out of 11 years. So if you want to call Stevens a quickly rising star, he's not worse that what you all settled for last time.

Nor did I say that. And I would agree with pretty much everything that was just said by Maker.

bottom line is i think they are trying to say someone is getting canned in 2 years which goes back to the original thread and that crean will not land any of these recruits ;)

My vote is Bill Lynch.

The University "can't" afford to pay any coach more money than Crean is making now. Still paying off the past douchebags problems if I'm not mistaken.

A select few of you are being very unrational about the situation. But it is what it is.

the university terminate scum's contract, but donors paid him $750,000 so that he can no longer file any lawsuits.

That's alright, I'm getting plenty of enjoyment out of watching my team, you know, win. Hopefully those cool graphics help make up for mediocre seasons with a mediocre coach teaching mediocre players.

Fun fact: Brad Stevens has more NCAA wins in his 3-year career than Crean does in 11
Fun fact 2: Matt Painter has more NCAA wins in his 6-year career than Crean does in 11

Fun fact: IU has 5 National Championships in basketball. Purdue and Matt Painter have ZERO.
