| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Ah Maker, the next speaker of truth that the faithful will hate? |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I was the original speaker of truth! Weird day when a PU poster backs up an IU fan on this side of the board. And DC, I'd be interested in hearing your hypothetical Stevens to IU stance. |

it's not like stevens took over some horrible mid-major program and turned them into something great. butler has been a legit team for years, and nearly every coach there for the last decade has had good success. not taking anything away from stevens, he has an incredible resume, but he's not exactly proven enough in my mind to have him charged with rebuilding our program. it won't happen anyways so it's a moot point. the IU administration knows as well as everyone that having crean here is much more beneficial -- they won't fire him if he doesn't totally deserve it. |

I would have appreciated this response yesterday. I'm the last person that wants him fired, trust me. I hope he's here as long as he wants to be. The scenario popped into my mind yesterday, so I threw it out there. Then the facepalm crowd went apeshit, lies were made up, and I was denounced as a human being for having such an audacious thought creep into my cranium followed by a Purdue poster talking me off of the ledge. I would just respect DC's input on the subject. |

I think Stevens would be great at IU. Will it happen? Probably not IMO. For one I think Crean will be at IU for the next 2-3 years, and if Stevens leaves I think it'll be in that time period. Also, I think Stevens has a philosophy of program building, and I don't know if it exactly fits at a program that considers itself an elite basketball school that should compete with the UNCs and KUs of the world in every way. |

Thanks for the response. This is the last time I'm saying this to a Purdue fan in this thread; i agree. Edited by obatskii, May 19 2010, 03:11 PM.
