Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

So you can now start the process for purchasing Final Four tickets. Anyone ever done this before? You have to drop the $150 - $200 per ticket now to enter the raffle, and they'll refund it if you don't get tickets. Obviously I'm hoping Purdue makes it, but I figure if they don't I could sell the tickets for way more than $200 anyways. I'd feel a lot better about it though if anyone had done this before or if there was a consensus that I could definitely make money from them if I don't go. Any input welcome, thanks!

Seems like a bargain. Not sure where the tickets are, but I can't imagine them not being able to be sold for that amount. All signs point to green.

I might add it's nearly possible to win that, I would assume. I've been trying to register for cardinals playoff tickets for a really long time for my friend, and I NEVER get drawn. I can only imagine how hard it would be for a final four game. But good luck to you, might do it myself.

Imagine if Purdue made it and I was the only person on here to win the raffle. I could do some damage to one of you clown's pocketbook :)

I won tickets in the 2002 raffle for the FF in New Orleans. Got to see Carmelo Anthony and Syracuse win it. Tickets are very nose bleedy, but easy to get rid of if your team doesn't make it. I did not win tickets in 2003, the only other year I tried.

I was at the 1993 Final Four in New Orleans (Chris Webber time out game). Was the only year in about a 10 year stretch that I was a "lottery winner". Was an awesome experience and New Orleans was a great place to have the event.

Another couple went down with my wife and I and we bought and sold tickets all day Saturday. Wound up with 4 together after traveling down with only two. Make sure you don't hold onto any tickets once the Saturday games start, Monday night tickets are cheap to come by after the Final Four games.

I scalped tickets to see the '99 Purdue women cut down the nets in San Jose. We were sitting around the house the day of the game, and I told my wife we had to go. It was pretty awesome, but won't compare to you seeing a men's NC next season!

I honestly can't decide which is the funniest part about this post.

I haven't been to a final four.

According to the records, neither has Calipari...so I guess I could be a big time college coach.

I went to the 2008 FF in San Antonio where "Memphis' Calipari team didn't really make it there." Me and a buddy put in 4 applications for tickets and got 1 set. They were the worst seats imaginable. The NCAA would sell seats in the bathroom if they could get away with it. What a bunch of crooks. So we sold our monday tickets for a measley $60 and bought decent seats right before the game for $200 apiece. I would never do it that way again. I will just go down for the FF and buy tickets once I get there. The best part of the FF is all of activities before the games begin. Street concerts, fan experience, fan banquet was amazing. Met Bill Russell, Pat Riley, George Gervin, Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, Patrick Ewing, and all but 4 of the 1st and 2nd all-american teams.
It was definitely the best sports experience I've ever had.

I understand that the championship game tickets aren't that expensive, but aren't Final Four tickets way more than $200 from the scalpers on the day of, even for the crappy seats?

My parents and I looked at tickets when the Final Four was in Indy in 2006. They were friggin' $300 apiece for the nose-bleed sections. So, we said forget it (kind of glad too since that Final Four really sucked). We just can't afford to spend that much on tickets to athletic events. Hell, we were just up in Chicago over the weekend and looked at Blackhawks tickets. Cheapest I could find were $170 apiece in the upper sections.

there were some truly awful seats in Lucas Oil to watch basketball, but nothing compares to the completely obstructed views of the Alamo Dome..
