Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Yeah, I think being on your respective campus would be a lot more fun than being in another city. I mean, seeing the game live would be amazing but experiencing the madness on campus afterward would be awesome.

I scalped tickets to see the '99 Purdue women cut down the nets in San Jose. We were sitting around the house the day of the game, and I told my wife we had to go. It was pretty awesome, but won't compare to you seeing a men's NC next season!
I honestly can't decide which is the funniest part about this post.
I thought someone would get a kick out of that post. Ukari Figgs rocks!

If Purdue were to make it to the final four id almost rather be on campus for it.
I think tickets cost about $10 the last time Purdue played in the Final Four.

i love it when people try to say that women's basketball is a more "pure" form of the men's game.

translation:

women's basketball sucks.

There's some truth to it. I'll take good passing and smart play over dunks most of the time. Sure, it's fun watching JJ play with his head above the rim and Kramer's tomahawk jams were impressive, but that's not why I watch the games.

but you also must admit that women's basketball, even at it's highest level, is very, very poor quality. no bones about it.

No, I disagree with that assertion. I think the women shoot as well the men, run more offensive plays, and clearly have better T&A than the men--no bones about it.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

2009 Season:
Div. I Men Average - 69.1%
Div. I Women Average - 68.78%

The men lit it up from the line 0.32% better than the women. That's not as good as dc shoots, but still pretty impressive.

I'm a 91% FT shooter. Duh.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

that's free throw shooting. there's no way women shoot better from 3 point, or anywhere else on the floor. they may shoot well, but there's no way you can say they shoot as good as men. find me a woman with the same kind of unlimited range as matt roth. :P

Actually Purdue made the next weekend once in that time frame, the other three times they were eliminated either Thursday or Friday. :loser:
