Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

BTW, the team already has Chauncey Billips, Derrick Gordon, Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo....so gives a crap if Curry can play point guard?

IMO, either Westbrook or Curry need to be the guy to go.

If that's the choice, then it's Westbrook. Euro teams play a lot of zone and you need shooters. It's not that Curry can play the point, it's that he has the skill set of both positions. He's a better shooter and more versatile.

I think the team could do without Westbrook. Curry could definitely benefit the team on both sides...

As for Curry or Gordon, come on.. be real. Lottery pick, explosive driving/dunking, potential hot 3 point shooter, and a crazy ability to get to the foul line. It's not even close in terms of raw athletic ability. Gordon would be the no brainer here, especially in terms of how ball is played in the US.

Good lord.

Curry sprained his ankle in practice, so Gordon might end up taking the last spot that is up for grabs.

I personally don't understand Andre Iguodala's value. He is a worse version of Danny Granger if you ask me.

I've been wondering the same thing actually. I suppose the powers to be know more than I, however.

At 6'6", I'm sure that they feel he can guard some world small forwards better than some of the smaller guards can. When you look at the roster, there does seem to be quite a bit of redundancy.

Honestly, with this roster I don't think the US will win FIBA..

I have my doubts as well. They were tied with the French after the 1st quarter and shooting less than 40%. This team can easily go cold from the field for an entire game and lose. Gordon helps, but there are a lot of bad shooters on this team.

Ahh. So, there's still opportunity for the Evil "i told you so" moment. Or maybe someone who doesn't even watch the NBA might know more about the sport than someone who does.

No, now that Curry has a sprained ankle....Gordon is the most likely guy to stay. Euro teams play so much zone, you have to have shooters....and that will ultimately be this team's downfall. Realistically, they should keep both Gordon and Curry but they aren't going to do that. Westbrook has no chance.

Not sure what you mean by 'Westbrook has no chance'.....were you trying to say 'Westbrook has no chance or being cut'?
