Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Shocked that Rondo withdrew....I hadn't heard anyone saying he was on the bubble. Coach K had said before the game against Spain that he knew what the veterans were capable of and wanted to see more of the younger guys...
I think Rondo withdrew for a personal issue regarding a family medical emergency..

He's got 5 threes right now in the 4th quarter against Greece. USA up 25.

Gordon leads the way for team USA with 16 points on 4 3-pointers in a rout over Croatia.

Watched the replay of the game last night, and noticed Curry was playing quite a bit of PG.

I personally don't understand Andre Iguodala's value. He is a worse version of Danny Granger if you ask me.
I've been wondering the same thing actually. I suppose the powers to be know more than I, however.
At 6'6", I'm sure that they feel he can guard some world small forwards better than some of the smaller guards can. When you look at the roster, there does seem to be quite a bit of redundancy.
Honestly, with this roster I don't think the US will win FIBA..
boy was I wrong.

USA rocked Turkey (in Turkey) for the gold.

Fabulous coaching job by Coach K.

I'm glad you were wrong. Now USA gets automatic birth for London (not like they really needed it anyways, but still nice)

Eric averaged 8.5 pts per game in the tournament. Durant was obviously the star and MVP for USA. Durant will be best player in the league in 2 years.

Thank God USA won, or else this would have been a terrible weekend for sports for me.

USA basketball is like USA football (not gay soccer), we shouldn't lose, and we won't with the right roster's and coaching.

I wish football was an olympic sport, but of course that would be a little unfair :).

Honestly, the guy whom seemed to have the least role on the team was Danny Granger. Not encouraging for Pacer fans.

Just proves that if America makes a concerted effort to win tournaments, our 2nd can dominate, and we can still field great teams.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
