Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

BTW, I was not trying to be funny or cute or anything else when I asked what that meant. I have no idea what the comments from you guys mean.

Probably 90% of the people I know are Catholic. I don't know a single Jewish person, don't get the Jewish jokes, and know nothing about them...

just so no one thinks I'm trying to bash a certain type of religion or anything like that.

Google is your friend Obat.

And I also have no idea what it means. Don't really care either.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Haha. I <3 this thread.

Don't feel bad Obat. 75% of Jews don't know what it means either ;)

On the first page of Google, all I saw at first was letters in funky combinations that mean nothing to me.

It means Blessed is the Lord or something like that....still have no idea what Dreach was saying about sending them off but I'm guessing that's an inside joke and like I said, I wouldn't get it.

Glad I didn't step on your toes buddy. Also glad I'm not the only one that didn't know what it meant. I'm not sure why Mongo and Btown would assume that I would/should know.

When I was at IU I dated a girl whose mother asked me if I celebrate Thanksgiving, ya know, cuz I'm Jewish. So I literally have no expectations of what people know/don't know anymore.

All the hardcore Jews go to hardcore Jewish schools and many of these schools are in Israel. If Tebow came out speaking Hebrew, he'd be well on his way to rabbi.

Funny grandma!

Now that you mention that, I think there was a girl on my bus back in the day whose family went to Israel every summer.

Couple questions...probably dumb ones but that's ok...Is that something you're supposed to do every year because they were pretty adamant about it. Secondly, if it's not, have you been over there before?

If you just want me to pick a new topic to talk about, I can do that too :)

It's cool. Don't mind at all.

Most Jews don't go to Israel every year, but most do go at least once. The reason is that there are a ton of programs that take Jewish kids under the age of 25 to Israel for FREE. If you've never been to Israel, you are Jewish and under the age of 25 you get an absolutely free 2 week vacation in Israel (some programs start in Poland and then go to Israel).

I have never been to Israel. Mostly cuz I'm a moron and didn't take advantage of the programs when I had a chance. I'm sure I'll go at some point in my life. Everyone I've talked to (jewish or not) says it's amazing.

We atheists have a Pilgrimage to Nowhere every summer. Unfortunately, there is only so much you can do in Lafayette.

He was on the Cowherd show today and called Colin Mr. Cowherd...it was fucking hilarious. Such an upstanding young man. We'd all be lucky to have kids like him....well except for Dreachon. He would probably be up for adoption after his first words were Jesus Christ :)
Tebow was on the Herd? Im pretty sure Tebow is Colins least favorite player in the NFL.

He was also being interviewed by John Buccigross on ESPN BEFORE his special tonight. Which is when I decided to click the power button and catch some zzzzzzz's.

Maybe ESPN feels the NFL needs faith and Jesus to prevent them from the lockout. It's not even Sunday, but today America gets the Tim Tebow service free of charge all day, how awe-inspiring.

I agree. Thank God that isn't where Purdue University is.

Nope....they had to settle for being identified as where they are in relationship to it.
