didn't see a single play. but i did see some fireworks from out yonder in the tailgate fields. at least they won, but giving up 17 points to a FBS school is embarrassing (although i don't know the circumstances of how they scored them). |

The guy picked last in gym class
|
A long run on a quarterback scramble set up the first one. The second one was on about a ten yard pass in which the corner had man coverage and let the receiver behind him and then took out any help he had when he colliding with him. Overall this is how I say they played: DBs: played okay. They picked off two passes and gave up only 16 of 35 for 165 passing despite the one 64 yard breakdown. They were helped by Towson's receivers who dropped a lot of short passes. They were only three pass plays over ten yards all night. LBs: didn't play real well outside of Replogle. When the line forced Hart out of the pocket, they didn't contain him at all. Towson's only real offense, other than the the one broken pass coverage, was Hart scrambling on broken pass plays. Considering the passing game wasn't doing anything, it's embarassing to give up over 100 yards rushing to their quarterback. DL: So-so. Played okay run defense...put some pressure on the QB but never seemed to wrap him up. The Hoosiers did start playing their backups in the middle of the third quarter...Chappell was out by the middle of the third quarter and even the third string QB played and twenty-nine players recorded tackles. At least it was better than when we had to go to the buzzer to beat D2 Nicholl's State. |

I got VT. They have a good run game and strong defense as usual and they are playing right in their back yard. Plus, I think they will be pumped to be the ones that takes down the cinderella media darling. |

I hope you are wrong, Hog :) I always like the underdogs. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that Kellen Moore had 39 TDs last year and only 3 INTs. I know his competition was easy, but that's still absurd. BTW Hog, you would have been real proud of me this weekend. While over 113,000 people at the Michigan game (largest CFB crowd ever) were chanting "Beat the Irish, clap clap, clap clap clap" last week towards the end of the UConn game, I was chanting "Let's Go Irish". |

I wouldn't call Boise State an underdog. They are a damn good football team. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I didn't mean in terms of the game this evening. I was speaking more in a sense of their program as a whole. After I posted that I was going to clarify, but I figured that you all would be smart enough to figure it out ;) |

Boise St.'s program was an underdog...... like 5 years ago. Its a legitimate program until Peterson gets hired away. |

I guess BSU is an underdog in the sense that they are a small program on the national scale. They are however ranked higher, and are a 2.5 point favorite for tonights game. Personally I have no real rooting interest. I don't like or dislike either team, and i am not one of those guys that have have been having the anti-small school backlash lately. I am just hoping for a entertaining game. Good for you on the UM thing lol. Them looking ahead like that is a good way to get their feeling hurt next week. :D |

Va. Tech has always been my #2 team to root for in CFB. So I'm sort of torn at this point because if Boise St. doesn't play well, they'll get blasted by ignorant media members and fans, and I think that is wrong. |

They're still an underdog in terms of ever getting to a national title game, even if they are undefeated. Regardless of how good they are, they play in BFE against mainly no name schools. |

What do you mean them looking ahead like that? The game vs. UConn was in the books. There was probably 2 minutes left in the game when the chants started. |

Yeah you are right about the fallout if Boise loses. Personally, I think they are a very good team, and a good program. I don't know that I would put them in the top 5 right now, but they would make it in my Top 10 -12 for sure. That being said, if they lose the idiot Big 10, Big 12, and especially SEC fans will come out of the woodwork and bash them for even thinking they can play on the same level as the "big boys." Of course in doing so they will conveiniently forget that Boise has in fact won 2 BCS bowls, which is more than most teams the FBS can say. |
