it's certainly showing that people are willing to come to IU.
...exactly...
I thought everyone said that Crean couldn't land big names because nobody wanted to come to IU anymore?...I don't think 16 wins in 2 seasons convinced kids that Crean is a great coach. So, as I've stated from day 1, Crean should have been patient because kids will come to IU......because it's freaking IU.
So if bad recruits come, then 'Crean can't recruit'. If good ones come, it's because 'it's IU'. Lame. http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=1813570
You have to be smarter than that. If bad recruits come, it's because Crean wasted scholarships chasing guys who have no business being here..........which is what I've said since day 1. You were the one that called Malik Story's scholarship a good one....and that was after you had seen him play nearly half a season at IU.
Therefore, you have zero right to talk about someone's ability to judge talent and recruit.

What is the point in posting the Malik Story transfer? Post all the article on the fact what Crean would do all again the previous summer or the impact of their lose. It is getting kind of old that you keep trying to rub Malik Story in Evil's face. Obviously he is changing his tune about IU recruiting and he may not ever give Crean credit, at least in the immediate future. Over time he may give in and say yes he can recruit and, with talent, he can coach. Then again, he may make us all eat crow. ;) You see, this is the thing: I don't paint myself as a recruiting expert. You don't paint yourself as a recruiting expert. The only one here that does on the IU side is Evil....and he can't judge talent even AFTER it gets here.
So I will continue to rub Malik Story in his face because it is an example of how bad of a judge of talent Evil truly is. He was the one calling Nick Williams a wasted scholarship and Malik Story a deserved one when it was clear to everyone that he Williams was a much, much better player. Evil is the one who continues to be Tom Pritchard's biggest fan, because, by gosh, he couldn't ever possibly change his mind about a player because that would mean he was wrong about him. Just listen for Evil's catch phrase excuses, such as 'playing out of position' which mean nothing more than a player sucks that I like and this is lame attempt at explaining it.
So while Evil continues to berate Crean on his recruiting strategy, I will continue to remind Evil that he himself flat out sucks at talent evaluation even AFTER the fact of recruiting. I'll be there to remind him every time he throws that stone in his glass house.
Evil has the less right to talk about recruiting than anyone here because he's already proven that he knows squat about ability.

It's like I told all the other haters, UK and UofL have commitments from fuckin 6th and 7th graders....
We can't help it the domino's have started to fall! Cheers, we have a 5* on the map. Now NOBODY can bitch about Crean's "poor recruiting" or "wasted schollies."
Told-everyone-this-would-take-place. One after another, watch and smile.
The difference is most Kentucky junior high kids are 17-18 yrs old. Didn't want to let this gem go unnoticed.
