Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Brain cell damage doesn't start from marijuana use....it comes later, when people have to listen to others start citing citing reasons like 'sleep problems' as to why they use it.

First thing, you're using. Next thing, you're in Bowling Green talking about how great it is. Hell, I hear it's the city that never sleeps.....unless they use marijuana.

The bottom line -- and this coming from someone that hasn't smoked marijuana -- is that kids and adults who smoke marijuana mostly do it because it's enjoyable.

You don't need to site medicinal reasons for why it should be legalized because the bottom line is that is just a smokescreen (pun intended) for why you want it legalized. So just say you enjoy it and that it isn't as dangerous as something that is legal (alcohol) and leave it at that.

lol brum ..

I admit I'm a biased user. Of course I like the high, because it's not dangerous. I can quit whenever... I actually make myself go without a lot. But it's not a DRUG. Drugs kill people. Deaths due to marijuana last year : 0 Deaths due to texting and driving : thousands , due to drinking and driving : thousands, due to smoking tobacco over marijuana: millions and millions throughout our lifetime.

The fact that it's such a big deal to people that have never tried it, is ridiculous. The fact that some of you (like you, Brum) believe that it has zero medicinal value is also fuckin negligent as hell. People who have eating disorders are prescribed marijuana, people with glaucoma, the migraines like I stated earlier, and YES, sleeping. Give me a couple hours in your kitchen and I'll make you the best brownie sleeping pill you'll ever take. Scientists/Doctors have spent as long as 40 years doing lab tests on the effects of the medicine, so saying it DOESN'T do something when its proven it DOES, makes you look ignorant on the matter.

things aren't made illegal for no reason, firstly. secondly, marijuana absolutely positively is a drug. especially in regards to it's medicinal purpose. look up the definition of a drug before you post again.

I don't think that Brum is saying it has no medicinal values, just that it doesn't to you, regardless of the picture you are trying to paint.

Let's play a game:
What do politicians like? Money (from lobbyists)
What do lobbyists like? Money (from corporations)
What do corporations like? Money (from customers)

Why are a lot of things made illegal? Take a guess.

note to Jurkin...so the English major is probably not the way to go...
Panchen, they changed the video. It was actually a highlight reel, but they had to remove it because of some entertainment company asked them to. So ITH put this in its place. Kind of sucks.
ahhh...did not realize that dedicated. makes a bit more sense now. did seem an odd video to throw in there. i was definitely expecting some incredible highlight reel.

Another badass mix of Peter doin his thing.

I love how he handles the ball... he never takes it too high or too low. He's tenacious on defense, and will actually DUNK like a big man on offense. Too many times DJ or others in the post SHOULD have dunked when instead they went up for a bunny and missed. Bring it down with authority! I love the Mutumbo reference after the blocks too. A 7 footer that's this athletic and runs up the floor so well, he has TONS of upside guys.

Put 20+ lbs on him, and he's going to be a monster for us.

These videos look good, but you can pretty much discount every single clip of him standing under the basket, catching the ball and dunking it. Not cuz he can't dunk from underneath the basket in the Big Ten, but because he won't have that position to begin with. The centers in the Big Ten are going to push him around and not let him get close. So until I see some clips of him finding a way to score from 5-10 feet out, I think his offensive impact is going to be very limited when he gets to IU.

That said, I love the way he blocks shots. You can see he jumps straight up in the air. He doesn't pull a Tom Pritchard and jump into the offensive player, making body contact and getting a foul. He could be very good for us on the defensive end, even if all he does is stand tall. Think of the way DJ White had trouble with a guy like Hasheem Thabeet just because of the height differential.

Very true, but PJ won't be our only forward in... Capo, CWat, Guy, and others could take the heat off of him down low. I also like how he jumps straight up. He's very good at anticipating the shot, and NOT jumping for the jump-fakes.

Like I said, he needs to put on muscle of course. But that being said, the way he runs the floor and brings it all game long, this is a very good pick up for our team.

Also, he made the rankings for ESPN's top 60 2012 players at #56 (don't quote me on 56, maybe 58 or somethin?...)

Excited about this recruit.

Yeah, that went right over him.

There are some medicinal values. But that isn't the reason that the vast majority that want to have it legalized use it nor is it the reason that they want it legalized.

Actually, the original video that I posted from ITH, before they had to remove it, showed him hitting a 12 foot jumper from just inside the free throw line. So I have witnessed him hitting an outside shot. It was only one, but it was still outside of 3 or 4 feet, plus he had a couple of turnaround jumpers from 5 or 6 feet.
