Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

In other news, the Houston Rockets lost to the LA Lakers last night by a score of 105-104. Yao Ming simply dominated the Lakers frontcourt by scoring an astonishing 31 points in 24 minutes. With just over a minute to go, Rick Adelman was forced to call a timeout and pull Yao out of a tie game because he had reached his 24 minute threshold. Houston went on to lose the game as Luis Scola bricked a mid range jumper as time expired.

Preseason... who cares?

See if Yao can even stay healthy enough to play a full season before you try to up his stock....

When I first read this post, I thought "crap, don't tell me the NBA is starting earlier this season. I haven't forgotten the shitty game seven from a few months ago." (and I was even rooting for the Lakers.)

It's not just for preseason, he won't play more than 24 in any regular season game.

He's an investment... why not cut down the risk, so maybe he'll make it to the playoffs.

I understand that, I'm just waiting to see what they do at the end of a close game when he has already played 24 minutes.

I've gotten on Evil as much as anyone, but I think if anyone else would have posted this the response would have been different. Sounds like a legitimate story and question.

Personally, I don't like the NBA but the fact that Houston is saying that they won't play Ming more than 24 minutes a game is interesting.

And to answer Evil's question, in a tight game I think they still won't exceed the 24 minutes.

+1 to Brum for being objective about something Evil posted.

Regarding the time, I don't think they'll let him play more than 24:08.2

"I've gotten on EVIL as much as anyone"..............waiting for the obligatory 'that's what she said'.
