Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Here is a Q & A session between ITH and Jeremy Hollowell. I guess he had an un-official visit this weekend. If you are interested, please click on the link below and see what he had to say.

I sure hope we can land that guy.

He'd be a great add...could be a very versatile college player. However, my gut feeling is that Thad Matta is outworking everyone for him, and I think it will pay off...

Meh. Thad is a very good recruiter, that is true. But, I doubt he will be "out-working" coach Crean. That's tough to do man. He gives his job 100% every day, which is why I love him as our head coach.

Not to mention, the buzz in Columbus is OSU football..... OSU fans put football first over basketball. Where as at IU we're about basketball first, then soccer... then football.

It should be a close race.

Maybe i worded that wrong. I agree, Crean works as hard if not harder than any coach.

What I meant was Thad seems to have this kid as top priority, whereas Crean is really pushing for zeller, yogi, perea etc..

You can see it in his interview, they asked who is recruiting him, he said OSU and Vanderbilt were there the first day...stuff likes that makes an impression, and the time Matts is putting here, Crean has been putting elsewhere I feel. Not saying its a aproblem, I mean Hollowell would be 4th on my wish list... can't get 'em all.

OSU just landed 4-star Sam Thompson for 2011. They are loaded at the wing, and I think that could prevent JH from committing there. He says he is not close to committing anywhere and is looking at other schools. I liked his comment about the 2012 class being important for IU and how it would be great to play with Buss and Jurkin.

Yeah I dont think Ohio St being a football school has hindered Matta's recruiting.

I wasn't referring to Matta, I was referring to tOSU's fanbase and morale.

Right but Im saying despite the fact that OSU fans are football first, Matta has mopped up recruiting there. Us being a basketball school first may help us with certain recruits, but OSU being a football school should be dismissed right now as some sort of factor working against Matta.

I just heard that on the Dan Dakich show. This may open the door for us to get Hollowell, and Dakich thinks so too. I say OSU is pretty much done and he won't go there. I don't know who he was considering and it sounded like his recruiting was still open, but I did hear that IU and OSU were the frontrunners at one time.

Didn't know OSU landed another wing...that does change things. IU needs to keep pursuing him hard though. He said his mom and him liked how the IU visit talked about academics and had a plan....always good to have mom in your corner...
