Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Is it Zeller's fault that we didn't get verbals from Young and Goff? I heard Crean will not accept a verbal until Zeller decides.
sounds like crean's fault to me.
That's just speculation.

Once again, IU's fanbase lost in translation. Imagine that.

I guess this is kind of disappointing in that it means that we're going "Zeller or Bust" as far as our 2011 big man plans. I guess I see the local appeal of Zeller -- he's a highly ranked state guy who could bring other talent with him.

however, i think a lot of people have just blindly jumped on this zeller bandwagon. is he a good player? absolutely, yes, he will be a solid player in his four years of college. is he the immediate-impact, top 20 big man that some make him out to be? hell no.

although i've heard to the contrary, i think cody zeller should take the first plane to Chapel Hill and never come back. he'll never live up to the already lofty expectations that IU homers have set for him. go to chapel hill, play with your brother (not in the incest way), have fun, maybe win a championship.

as far as crean, i'm kind of disappointed that he's let all this lie in cody zeller's corner. at least bring a few guys with you in case that commitment backs out. guerrero would be a nice pickup, but he's not a big man.

at this point, the best solution is to keep 2011 as is, maybe add guerrero, and then go for a 6-man 2012 class. it's not my head coaching job though, so whatever.
I agree too, but I want Zeller for another reason. I think it may open up the recruiting flood gate. I don't have lofty expectations for Zeller other than finish your four years as a solid contributor and graduate on time. I don't think he will be that impact player that Goff would have been next year, but he will contribute some his freshman year and become a major contriubutor by his junior and senior years, maybe not go to guy but major contributor.

I am not as disappointed about Goff. If Zeller doesn't come to IU, then bank it for 2012.
