Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Not surprising. I don't know why IU backed off him when it seems like he was initially their top target for 2012. But Xavier just picked up a 5-star recruit.

I just read that. Oh well, would have liked to had him but there are still plenty of good recruits for 2012. We still have a real good shot at Perera, Yogi, and Hollowell. Also, we have a slim shot at Harris. Even if we don't get Harris, if we get Yogi, Perera, and Hollowell with Patterson and Jurkin, that will be a damn good class. I think we are sitting good with Perera and Hollowell, but I don't know where we are with Yogi. If we can land Zeller, it could help.

Michael Chandler committed to Xavier as well. Wouldn't be surprised if DeJuan Marrero followed.

Consider that Dee Davis is already committed there and suddenly Xavier has an under-the-radar Indiana pipeline going right now...

Not so under the radar. They are going to be very, VERY good.

Both good players, but I'll be surprised if Chandler qualifies. DSR's flirtation with McLeod was the death of his recruitment with IU. Chandler was out of the picture with the latest round of CZ news. If you're an IU fan that likes Cody Zeller and Yogi Ferrell this is very good news for you.

I bet Chandler ends up at a prep school before playing at Xavier. Is it just me, or is Xavier becoming another Gonzaga? They keep landing big time recruits, they are one of the best teams in the Atlantic 10 every year, and they have been to the Sweet 16 the past 3 years. And they really seem to land some top players from Indiana.

I thought Chandler was visiting IU this weekend. Not that it matters because of his acedemic problems, but what does is say for a guy that commits before he takes all of his official visits? What is going on at Xavier and how are they able to land good quality players from the state of Indiana? Hell, they seem to land more quality Indiana players than IU and Purdue combined.

I know this leaves the door open for Zeller and Yogi, but they still haven't committed and right now Crean hasn't landed any 5 star players. Right now, Mo Creek and Watford are his two highest rated recruits, but not to shabby recruits. Until these guys finally commit, that cloud would remain over Crean's head and Evil will still have room to criticize him.

Let's go Crean, land those big time recruits.

No, Gonzaga became another Xavier.
Because Xavier has been competitive longer than Gonzaga? Good point.

Still, non-Big 6 programs like Gonzaga, Xavier, Memphis and Butler aren't mid-major programs. They have been constantly among the top teams in the country.

I think I read somewhere that DSR and Patterson don't like each other.

DSR and Yogi don't see eye to eye, let's say. i believe that DSR and patterson are pretty good friends.
