Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

No mixed feelings here. Can't decide which is better; Simpletary (gotta love the guy though) is gone, or that Harbaugh is in.

damn i used to really like captain comeback. this is quite the conundrum. i lost a little bit of respect for him today.
And THAT is exactly why as a 49ers fan I have mixed feelings about this hire. NFL history ignorant IND fans calling Harbaugh Captain Comeback was a slap in the face to a guy who EARNED the nickname Roger Staubach. That season is where my hatred for IND, and most of their fans by default, came from.

First your city stole a franchise, then they tried stealing a nickname from a great QB and gave it to a 1 year wonder, and finally their GM whined like a baby who had his favorite toy taken away from him at competition committee meetings.
haha ok.

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

This is my favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite thing written about the Colts. We "stole" a franchise. First of all, I didn't "steal" a franchise, and if you blame the city of Indianapolis for looking for an NFL team (economic boost and all) you are a fool.

Blame Baltimore for losing a team. And I'm sure he thinks Baltimore subsequently stole the Browns.

yes perhaps he'd like to look at baltimore ticket sales and attendance rates towards the end of the Colts era. And it's not like the Colts have been a failure in Indianapolis. A very successful team, one of the top 5 nicest stadiums in the NFL, and a future super bowl host.

At least you admitted your hatred for the Colts. It may be a retarded reason for hating them, but at least you admitted it.

I just hope while he's cleaning out his closet he tells us he hates IU too so we can just get it over with already.

Fuck yes...

and a big fuck you to everyone who said he wouldn't be in interested in the 9ers (Btown, Lars, I'm talking to you!)

Great day for 49er football.
Sorry man, but your good days just keep getting smaller in the rear view mirror. At least you still have "The Catch" and Montana is in the all time top 5 QB's, IMO.

Even tougher to win when you constantly play for field goals, which is my problem with him and his offensive coordinator. At least the coordinator is now gone...but I fear the influence of Sporano is still going to be there.

Have to keep in mind as well that the FA quarterback class is extremely week and they aren't going to get an impact QB where they draft....and both Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are set to be FA.
I know they aren't really great options, but McNabb, VYoung, Bulger, Kolb, ASmith, Orton(I hope SF goes after him), Gradkowski/Campbell, Kitna, a DET QB, Josh Johnson, Delhomme, Derek Anderson just off the top of my head will probably be available either through FA or trades. If MIA wants to stick with the wildcat, they should probably go with Young. Bess and Fasano have some talent. Marshall is loaded with potential. Even if they let both RBs walk, they will still have a lot of options out there. You don't win that many games on the road in the NFL without being pretty good....the home record is just baffling.

Other than Young, Kitna and Orton, all of those guys put up similar or worse years than Henne. Young is a head case, Kitna is 38, and Denver has a high asking price for Orton.

Miami won't stick with the wildcat....Henning was already fired.

Michigan's new coach

I'm reading good things about this guy. Think it's a good hire.

Sucks. I was glad when he left Ball State. Was hoping he'd remain gone so we wouldn't have to face him anymore.

I think Hoke would have been a good hire for Indiana, but I'd be underwhelmed as a Michigan fan. It took him five years at Ball State before they had a winning record.

If I'm a Michigan fan, I'm disappointed in this hire.

They don't have a lot of choices. No one with a name wants to go there. Remember how long they looked before getting RichRod.
