Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

how could you possibly criticize those recruits? that's like me promising not to criticize my next chalupa at Taco Hut.
the recruits are fine.....but the way Crean is coaching right now, he wouldn't win with MJ (1992) Kobe (2002), and Shaq (1998).

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

I'm pretty sure my 8-month old niece could win with Jordan, Shaq, and Kobe.

My new year's resolution is to stop dwelling on the negatives of IU basketball. sit back, relax, and enjoy the rebuilding of my school's program.

Oh I understand it just fine. Like you MIGHT not have anything to say on this board if you weren't allowed to criticize Crean.

Dreach,

His response will be what is he suppose to talk about.

The strong IU idenity (he claims IU has none)
The great Defense Iu is playing

If I was Evil I would talk about the positves

I think Vic O is a pleasant surprise. He is a fun guy to watch.
Jordan Hulls a good player.
Watford seems to have some potential.

I doubt Evil wants to discuss those things

Check the Oladipo thread.

Already addressed Watford.

Hulls is a good shooter, and generally plays hard but his size makes it tough for him to be effective on defense whether that's man or zone.

If I didn't want IU to be successful, I wouldn't be criticizing their mediocre coach.

Evil,

Even I as an Iu hating Purdue fan know that Iu will not be bad for much longer.

Next year you lose Rivers and gain CZ and AE. Will they make you a Tourney team? maybe. The Big Ten graduates alot this year. IU could have a winning record in 2011-12

2012-13 IU should be a tourney team. This year is painful but it is not like IU has no light at the end of the tunnel. If you argued that Will S needed more minutes to develop I would agree.

I just see you knocking Crean. I think that is what your fellow IU fans get sick of.

When you say you already addressed Watford are you referring to you saying he hasn't improved a lot and you aren't impressed with him just because he only accumulated stats against cream puffs?

Let's just be honest. You didn't think there was any way Crean would land all those recruits and that's why you said what you did. Cuz you didn't think you'd ever have to own up to it.. And not only did he get all those guys, he also got Yogi, 2 top 2013 guys AND 2 top 2014 guys. And you haven't shown any positivity or excitement about ANY of them. Your noticeable absence from the recruit threads is deafening.

It's not that you bash Crean all the time. It's that you bash Crean all the time without praising him for any of the good things he does. You show 0 excitement about the mere possibility of a bright future for IU. In fact, it seems you choose to not enjoy any of the good things about this program. How can anyone take your criticisms seriously if they don't believe you even care about the program to begin with?

Some probably are, but others are finally starting to see exactly what I've been saying for a long time. Just because your opinion isn't popular or liked, doesn't mean that it is wrong. This is Crean's 3rd season and we still have no identity. Some of the fanbase have become Crean apologists and seem to not be worried that he can't even get these kids to play hard all the time. Part of the IU tradition is outworking people, and there are very few guys on this team that do that......and what's worse, the coach and parts of the fanbase don't hold these kids responsible. To me, that's bullshit.

I don't have these opinions to try to piss off IU fans......I have them because that's what I see. And I'm not going to back a coach that won't even bench kids who are unwilling to put forth the effort on the defensive side of the ball.

Much like all of your other sports analysis(letting guys shoot wide open 3s as a strategy), you are way off base. I had no idea one way or the other whether or not Crean would get those guys. To me, those players are just potential and it really doesn't mean anything until they are on campus because kids back out of scholarships all the time. I said I would criticize him for signing them....like I criticized him for offering David Williams after an open gym session(turns out I was right).

You're right about what I said about Watford......and it looks like I was too. Did he score 17?.....yep. Was he weak inside and mysteriously losing the ball just like last year?....yep. Did he hit a few shot clock heaves from 3 point range against a team that was going through the motions defensively after they realized how easy we would be to beat?.....yep. Everyone else was talking about how he had gotten stronger and would be more of a force inside........I said once he started playing D1 talent he would revert back to the same guy he was last year.
