Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

so speaking of free throws, remember when Jeremiah Rivers couldn't hit one to save his life? Now he's shooting over 80%.

Also, with Victor, against Ferris State he hit about as clutch of a free throw as a true freshman can 2 games into the season.
Rivers really started hitting them towards the middle/end of last year. His first half was horrible, but his second half was very good if I remember correctly.

yeah, I think you're right, but I don't think he was over 80%. Right now he's at 83% up from 57% last year. That's really good.

I've been shocked that he's decent from 3-point land. Granted, it's a small sample size, but he's still shooting the same as Roth.
My only issue is with his free throw shooting.
Fortunately, that's probably the easiest thing to fix.
If it were your choice Victor Oladipo wouldn't even be on this team.
I've clearly said that after seeing him play. It must suck when you have nowhere to go so you just start throwing false statements out there. I'm sure I said something along the lines of I'm not sure where Crean is going to find the minutes for all of these redundant wing players he keeps bringing in. You know me, the biggest proponent of Crean yanking schollies to cover mistakes.
Actually, I remember you saying that you wouldn't offer a scholarship to a guard who can't hit his free throws. So, you never would have offered Oladipo.
So you think shooting 1 free throw per game gives you a good feel on how good of a shooter a kid is? He is hitting 40% of his 3s....I have a sneaky hunch his FT percentage will go up as he gets more opportunities.
I didn't say I think that at all. I'm saying that YOU said you would never recruit a guard who couldn't hit his free throws. So you would have never recruited Oladipo, I guess.
And you can't read......just basically said 15 free throw attempts in 15 games is too small of a sample size to say whether or not a guy can shoot. Generally, guys who can hit a solid % from 3 point range make a solid % of their free throws.

He is 7-15.....do you expect him to stay there?.........I already said I expect it to go up.
You are a fucking idiot.

He hasn't had 15 free throws. He's had 37. And he's hit 17....so he's hitting at a 46% clip.

In high school, the only stats I've found on free throw shooting was for a 12 game stretch in which he was 6 of 12.

So we now have 49 known free throws in games....and he's hit 23.

Dreach is completely on the mark here....you are on record as saying a guard who can't hit free throws shouldn't be recruited because you could never put him in the end of the game.
