| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! I mean it's obviously a bit of both. OSU was making so many they were laughing at how hot they were. Like I said in an earlier thread, all the guards are so focused on being down low that they don't get out fast enough to challenge the 3. Unfortunately in this game, they also weren't good enough to make a difference in the paint. Some other things on my mind. Is Victor Oladipo the best player on the team? I mean when you take into consideration overall play. Offense + defense. If he's not, he's close. The lack of aggressiveness/desire/efficiency/enthusiasm/whateverthefuckyouwanttocallit from Verdell Jones is the most disappointing thing on this year's team. I really thought he would make a big jump this year. He went from the best player on the team to the 4th best? Watford, Hulls and Oladipo have all been better. I really do think that later in the year teams won't be able to shoot so well against us and we'll win some games. I predicted 14-16 and I still think that. Being open from 3 doesn't guarantee a basket. Teams just as often can't buy a bucket as much as they hit everything in sight. I think it will turnaround for us eventually. |

hate to spoil it for you brum...but when it's raining 3's on your defense, you can't stick with a zone, regardless of foul trouble, even if that means giving up a few easy ones once you've been beat down low. |
![]() The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism. | |

I think they were laughing at the fact that we kept leaving them open.....I would have laughed also. |

The guy picked last in gym class

They got to the line 38 times. We committed 30 fouls. Anytime they got any kind of isolation or penetration they either made the shot or we fouled them. By half we had 8 fouls on our big men at half and with 17 minutes left Elston was done, Pritchard had four (and we all know he was going to get his fifth the next time he got isolated). We had to resort to putting Rivers on Sullinger. Let's not act like man to man would have mattered, because it wouldn't have. The problem wasn't in playing zone, it was on the lack of rotation we had in it. |
