Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Tom Crean is the man. Next year we'll be leaps and bounds better. I just hope all of our commits stick with it. They're all friends with each other for the most part so hopefully that translates to wanting to start the dynasty back up.
Start the Dynasty back up?

I was unaware IU ever had a Dynasty.
It was call the 1900's. :P

I think you have to win Back to back to be a dynasty. Maybe 2 in three years.

We all know IU won five banners but I don't think that qualifies as a Dynasty.

Much, much, much, much, much closer to a dynasty than Purdue I reckon...

I am not trying to start a pissing match. IU has a great basketball history and tradition.

Seriously though, once JuJu and Homely's class graduate...

The cupboard isn't bare, but you guys are going to struggle again, and it will be awhile before returning to the rankings.

And I could see why PU fans would question the word "dynasty", but in IU's case, the term is valid.

Per Merriam-Webster: 2 : a family, team, etc., that is very powerful or successful for a long period of time

Which IU was. And has a chance at becoming successful for a long while. It doesn't mention anything about championships period in the definition, much less having to win "back to back".

Yeah our cupboard isnt real full is it? Probably be 4 or 5 years until we are ranked again. Man, look at our recruiting. We will be lucky to be mid conference this whole next decade probably.

And there has been no period of time where you could consider Purdue a family, or team, that was powerful over time. We've been constant bottom feeders.

I'm not saying you guys don't have stud recruits coming in.... you just aren't going to have another well bonded class like Homely and JuJu's. That is all.

Well if you look at it like that, then IU is guaranteed a final four in like 2 years right? I mean, a well bonded recruiting class like TC had last year and the next two classes how could it not?

This is about Dr. Tom, not Purdue. Fortunately, Purdue will never have to worry about being bad again, the program is going to cancel itself because of the graduation of two players.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel
