Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

We had 6 turnovers....6. That is incredible. We shot around 83% from the line and 35% behind the arc. Rivers played the best I've seen all season. He was an absolute beast on defense covering guys like Jones when they made mistakes.

I have to accuse fouls and rebounding in this loss. The fact that we were in there at the end despite a second half slump can be attributed to our 19-6 run at the end of the first half.

Does anyone know if Watford has been sick or something? He has looked off for the last 3 games and was a complete non-factor last night.

I think we need to bring Tijan back and toughen him up.

I've said it a few times over the years on here, but it seems like we have a huge problem closing out games and playing well in the last 5 minutes under Crean. Is it his coaching or does our lack of talent become more exposed at the end?

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

talent. actually we came back in the last 2 minutes last night. this years' team is definitely more resilient, but not necessarily to greater results on the W/L line.

we did come back in the last minute, but from 6:00 to 1:00 left we blew it

We had 6 turnovers....6.
And 4 of those were from one player. ;)

Overall, the game was good to watch and I felt we should have won the game. It was nice to be in a game on the road for once with a chance to win at the end. Not happy with the lose though, unlike Btown.

4 by one player is cherry picking the box score. bottom line is that turnovers did not interrupt play whatsoever last night. actually, if a team has 0 turnovers it usually means they weren't taking enough chances. there's a difference between a turnover trying to make a play and an unforced turnover.

I feel like it was due to inexperience also. Once Minny got the crowd back into the game it took us awhile to compose ourselves. What started at 2 quick baskets for them turned into 5 unanswered baskets.

I will refrain from judging Crean for waiting so long to call a timeout during Minny's momentum swing. I would have called it two possessions earlier....but I don't coach basketball for a living, either.

We were down 5 with 6 minutes left and 6 with 1 minute left.

I would say it was the 8 minute mark to 4 minute mark that we blew it....went from up 2 to down 8.

You made two wide open threes in the last 20 seconds. Missed 5 shots before that back to the 3:00 mark. The team may be more resilient this year but last night wasn't an example of it.

When Minny made their run we were able to stop it before the game got out of hand and then we hit a couple shots with the game on the line and stole the in-bounds pass which would have given us a shot at the game winner. The team wasn't perfect, but that doesn't mean they weren't resilient.

This team obviously showed some flaws last night, but you can't tell me they weren't resilient.

Oh course he can. He's a Purdue fan. They're obviously loving the hell out of this kicking us while we're down.
