Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I bet Tom Izzo would. I take it you don't play much tennis.

Christ, I never thought I'd see the day. Turning the ball over is a good thing? Oh my. I'd love to see Bob Knight's reaction to a comment like that.

When you turn it over, you have fewer chances to score. Many turnovers lead to a basket for the opposing team. Turnovers also lead to momentum loss. None of these things are good.

So that 2-8 team would be better if they turned it over more? I tend to look at that situation as maybe they would be 0-10 and getting beat by 30 points per night if they turned it over more, but that's just me.

I think Victor Oladipo would be a better free throw shooter if he had more than 15 free throws this year.

Are you really comparing basketball and tennis? So the guy with unforced errors usually wins huh? This argument can't possibly get any dumber.

I'm shocked you couldn't answer the question with one of your simulations. Must have been looking at the wrong column.....my bad. I'll go ahead and take looking at the wrong column over a completely moronic line of thinking any day of the week. Mine was an honest mistake, your's is a retarded line of thinking.

How's Guy doing?

I bet if Kobe was suspended today the Lakers would win the finals because phil jackson is a HOF coach.

oh wait, personnel matters? I thought the coach strictly decided the outcomes of games. weird.

Way to deflect the conversation.

Would Phil Jackson make a crappy team better?.........yep.......would he do it by instructing them to be more aggressive instead of taking care of the ball?.......nope.

If you are a supremely talented team, you can overcome turnovers. If you are like IU, you cannot. Take care of the basketball, maximize your offensive possessions, and take your chances down the stretch.

Guy is helping this team as much your favorite boy Tom Pritchard is.

Not really, but at least I know which one is actually on the team.

Yep I actually read it here in this thread, turnovers are a good thing. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

We need a scratching head emoticon because that is really what I am doing about that comment rather than banghead, which is all we have.

Here is a good one for you Btown: yernuts

In our seven losses, we've averaged 11 turnovers. In our nine wins, we've averaged 17.

While making silly turnovers is important not to do, the number of turnovers by itself is not that telling. Sometimes a low number of turnovers indicates a passive offensive effort and a high number indicated an agressive one.
