Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

that's ugly. and the "invisible" half court line can't possibly be legal, right?
That is what I was thinking.

Its different but I like it. IU is extremely traditional which I like, but Oregon is known for being unique. It may not work at IU but it fits them well.

Nobody has a problem with Oregon's newly built basketball arena, Matthew Knight Arena. The arena's court, however, is already bugging a lot of people according to today's story by Yahoo's Jeff Eisenberg. Per Eisenberg, TV viewers were also unhappy with the camouflage mid-court stripe and 3-point lines, which were overly difficult to make out -- at least for the viewing audience -- due to their lack of contrast from the rest of the court.

The court was built to stand out from the crowd -- mission accomplished -- and it generated plenty of buzz over the last couple months, but many are finding it difficult to deal with the glare that's visible while watching on television.

Oregon knocked off USC last night in its first game on the controversial surface, the first Pac-10 win for the Ducks. But if complaints continue to pour in, it will be interesting to see just how long the court will last, at least in its present state.
Death to Signatures.

I think the only thing that might change is the ribbon lights around the upper deck. They supposedly put a real bad glare on the court. Other than than i can't see what would change. If the half court and 3pt lines are visible on the court for the players and refs, then I certainly wouldn't make any changes if I were oregon.
