Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

...yeah, you're right - i guess he won't...after all, no coach has ever had anything like that happen to them in their first few years as a head coach...

I've been a fan for awhile now. I could see him going somewhere big after some of the older coaches retire/get fired. He'd be a monster at Texas or UCLA.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

UCLA is definitely the weirdest teams in the NCAA. One game they look great, the next they look atrocious. I can't imagine that Ben Howland has even one more season of doing this before he gets fired.

btw, did anyone else see Cal call T. Jones an M F'er?

It's a good thing YouTube didn't exist in the 70s 80s and 90s. Could you imagine the things Bob Knight would have been caught saying?

doesn't make it okay. threatening an opposing player is about as low as it gets, but threatening your own is pretty damn low.

Caught saying? Knight said whatever he wanted whenever. Didn't matter if there was a camera there or not.

I think there's more of a reaction to actually hearing/seeing something happen than just knowing. I'm thinking some of the old timers like Knight and Keady would have been releasing apologies on a weekly basis lol.

Knight cussed out reporters and his players all the time. I highly doubt he would ever apologize just because someone put it on youtube.

This. If Knight were "caught" on camera telling a kid he was a fucking asshole and reporter asked him about it, Knight would probably say, " I was telling him he was a fucking asshole." There's tons of video and sound clips of Knight being totally inappropriate. He didn't care one way or another.
