Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

What a tool. I don't know on what planet this guy was living when he thought he could actually keep his job.

Until the 17 year old revelation (which may be benign), I had no issue with the whole debacle. The jokes will be missed.

I had a friend who got caught cheating on his wife, and had had a "sexting" relationship with the other woman, so I know it happens. That being said, I'm still friends with the guy, but I don't think I would vote for him in Congress

Would have you voted for Thomas Jefferson?

I'm just saying, would the revelation that TJ had an out of wedlock affair with a slave that produced a baby, been enough disqualify him as President? I'm thinking Franklin would have been the sexter of that era !

Franklin definitely would have been the sexter....dude used to stand butt naked in front of his window for all the world to see....and he even wrote about doing that....weirdo.

Would I have voted for Jefferson.....I have no idea. It is too hard to place myself in that era, because as I talked about in another thread, it simply blows my mind that slavery could have been culturally acceptable, but it clearly was. Was it also commonplace for owners to diddle the slave women? I really don't know, but I'll bet someone on here does.

Many did....and typically the children became slaves as well.

Martha Washington had a half-sister that was a slave. She actually worked in the Washington's household. Her first husband also had a half-brother who was born from a slave mother.
It was pretty common.

And Jefferson did have a long relationship with a slave with whom he fathered children.

I am shocked that this guy continues to run for office and simultaneously repeat the mistakes that ended his previous political career. Would any of you vote for him?
