Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Depends on the other Dick running.
the guy is clearly a pathological liar....if his opponent was worse than that, I would probably have to leave the jurisdiction...because we would be in trouble!
My question is why his wife still appears to be standing by him.
See her mentor for those answers. IMO, she doesn't give a shit about him, they were gonna try to be the next political " power couple". There would be little reason to stay with that ugly fuck douchebag otherwise.

It's about " fame" and power.....these people are so vane it is nauseating.
Remember when you accused brian of taking the thread in another direction on the minimum wage thread?

Good times.
wasn't he just answering eel's question?
Yep. That's what I was doing, answering a direct question. That concept is foreign to some people.
Really? Someone asked a question on your opinion of Hillary Clinton? Can you link that, please?

Did I give an opinion on Hillary?

Amazing a mathematical scholar like yourself can't put 2 and 2 together. My kid learned to connect the dots in preschool....you must have missed that lesson.

In my opinion (did you notice that part?), she is in a similar situation as her mentor who is also in a sham marriage. I'm quite sure she has gotten some advise from the old pro on how to handle the situation, wouldn't you think?
Btw, the NYT said they were the up and coming power couple and compared them to the Clinton's. didn't Rolling Stone do the same?

You need to expand your reading and resources.

Brum, you should retract that statement. You may have read it wrong, but it doesn't look like he was givi g an opinion of Hillary. He was giving his answer as to why Mrs. Wiener would stay with Mr. Wiener, which was for power. He compared the situation to Hillary's past situation in that respect but have no opinion of Hillary.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

Brum hates me :(

Maybe I'll star another thread where he can legitimately attack me for having a different opinion than he does on Hillary's qualifications to be president.

'At this point, what difference does it make?'

“As the many glowing profiles of Huma Abedin in recent months have noted, she learned a lot working as Hillary Clinton’s right-hand woman since the 1990s,” the Atlantic’s Elspeth Reeve wrote Wednesday. “But maybe the biggest lesson Abedin learned was not just how to help her husband survive a sex scandal, but how to launch her own political career.”

MSNBC’s Mika Brezezinski said what Abedin did at the press conference was “riveting,” adding that Abedin works for a woman who has been through a similar personal issue.
“A woman who is a pro at taking a bad situation, an embarrassing situation and owning it and winning in the long run. And that is someone who might be the next president of the United States, Hillary Clinton,” Brezezinski said.

Damn Brum, seems even your liberal buddies can make the connection. If that is changing the subject then many people are doing it.

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/07/24/huma-abedin-takes-center-stage-defending-anthony-weiner-amid-sexting-scandal/

“Huma was the one in the relationship with credibility, and her credibility was supposed to carry him and lift him up into office. And now he’s bringing her credibility down along with his,” said author and political analyst Keli Goff. “That’s what this has done, now we don’t trust either one of them and what stories they’re telling about this timeline.”

Many have noted that Abedin spent years joined at the hip with former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose power and popularity grew after she stood by her husband, Bill Clinton, during a sex scandal that led to impeachment hearings.

Abedin worked by Clinton’s side for almost two decades. At her wedding to Weiner in 2010, Clinton told guests if she had a second daughter, it would be Abedin.

“I think she made, from a psychological point of view, very cleverly worded statements,” said relationship expert Dr. Judy Kuriansky. “She has been in this political game for many years. She’s worked with the Clintons. She understands how the game is going and how it works.”

Hey Mr. Dot-to-Dot, do you understand irony?

Bringing up minimum wage and how it affects the single mother ON A MINIMUM WAGE THREAD is no more changing the subject that talking about Hillary Clinton on an Anthony Wiener thread.

What is his "wife" thinking standing next to him talking love and trust? Clearly neither thing exists in their relationship. What a coincidence that Hillary's protege has the same kind of husband that her mentor has....

I don't feel sorry for the woman, at this point, she deserves what she gets
Good thing he didn't change the subject. This post is certainly about Anthony Weiner, isn't it?

Bri was changing the subject in responses to questions. If you can't see the difference, it's really not my problem. You tend to make the biggest deals out of the littlest shit. It didn't even involve you.

Can you read? It's a post about the weiner's relationship. Is that not about them? The fact that she is so close to Hillary and because Hillary has been under similar circumstance makes her part of it. If you don't think one highly visible couple is getting advice from another close seasoned couple then you are just blind or willfully dumb. Read the papers.....everyone sees the connection but you.
